You need the ORIGINAL copy of the I-797 and your expired green card. You do not need to apply for advanced parole like the above poster posted. The extension letter extends the validity of your green card, which already gives you access to advanced parole and the ability to leave and return.

The most trouble people have had, was if they used a copy of their I-797, the CBP officers want to see the original. You will want your I-797, Expired Green Card, and passport.

OMG such relief to see checked cashed. PKG was supposed to have signature on delivery, and there was nothing. We just assumed all was delivered & ok... Check cashed means it’s in the system👍👍 YAYY!!

Hello people! I filled my package 06/25/18 and was delivered 06/27/18. This is the 3rd package I sent. I originally sent mine on April and because they were taking forever I thought application got lot and sent another one on May, both packages were returned to me and they asked me to file again. I file at the California Service Center. Can someone make a chart with names and dates? so we know about what time we receive our NOAS.
