Good morning everyone,

I have a very specific question that I cannot seem to find the answer to on here.

I will give some background to avoid wasting time - We are hoping to move from England with K1 & K2 visas. We have our medical in a few weeks time & so far I have everything required. My son is in his early teens and has a diagnosis of autism. Apart from the usual documents and evidence does anyone have suggestions for additional information I could supply that will benefit our case? My fiance has health insurance that will cover us, so that is not the issue. I have my son's latest EHC plan which I will take to the medical and embassy interview, as it gives an accurate picture of his diagnosis. He has never been on medication, is well behaved (no violence), and is achieving at mainstream school. I am concerned how we can prove we will continue to support him once he is over 21 years old, as I understand the main concern will be the potential for him to be a drain on resources once we are living there. We have bought a house with a self-contained living room, bedroom and bathroom for him, so that if he needs to he can continue living with us beyond the "normal/average" time frame. My fiance has made provision for us in his will.

Does anyone have any other ideas for what I can provide, given that it is difficult to know how a child can progress so far in to the future?

Doubt if it will be an issue, I assume you have investagets local provision for his condition, no expecer but from what I gather varies significantly by location.

Honestly not an issue imho.  You've more than shown he won't be a public charge.

Best wishes!

Thanks for your comments.

I phoned the practice that does the medical to request more time at our appointment, so they have time to read the various reports I am compiling.

I will update with what was/wasn't helpful once we've been through this stage.
