"Rice Krispies" noise in boy's ear turns out to be nesting spiders

When I was about 14, we lived in a fairly rural area in Louisiana, and my dad had one of those big tree cockroaches crawl in his ear in the middle of the night. He woke up with a terrible earache, and he said he could hear what sounded like breathing noises. He went to the restroom to get a cotton swab, when he pulled out the swab there was a roach leg on it. He went to the doctor first thing the next morning and they flushed it all out. The doctor said that you would be surprised how often it happens. Ewwwww!!! To this day my mother still sleeps with earplugs.

Okay the really ODD thing is that they are publicizing it.. and taking the spiders to work and school.. THAT creeps me out!

yea I think actually the bag says not to use it inside the ear channel or some stupid instruction like that.. but hell, nothing beats the qtipz for cleaning teh earz
