Hi everyone. We receive our NO2 last april 20, 2018 and we were supposed to get the Case number from NVC. We are waiting for like a month already for the case number. We called the NVC and says our papers is not there anymore. And have seen this on the USCIS website. Like “the post office returned the document to us and we will hold the document until 180 days.” Anyone had this? What to do? Its making me worry.

no we don’t have it yet. My fiance called the NVC yesterday and says that our papers are not there yet.

Here is what the USCIS update says

Call uscis and ask. This problem (cause the case) is at uscis. Tell them you have your noa2.

It generally means the address they have on file for you is wrong, and when they tried to deliver you something in the mail it got returned.

Actually the one for the address is “document was returned to uscis” this one sounds different so I’m not sure. And they also received noa2. So my guess is either something went wrong when sending to NVC or they did make a mistake. Uscis should be called to ask though.

Agreed on calling USCIS, posting on a forum here won't help too much for this.

Yes this is really rare as far as I’ve seen. I understand the worry and need to consult. Im extremely curious though...it may help  people in the future.
