Six months of waiting and I get an RFE?

Well, it seems as though someone does have our petition. We have sat waiting now for over 6 months. Today in the mail I get an RFE that was dated April 26th. Seems as though they want some more evidence of meeting. I sent over 20 photos of us together, hotel receipts, passport entry and exit stamps, copy of airline purchase order and I guess this wasn't enough.

Not sure what else I can dig up except maybe credit card bills that show purchases made in the Philippines. I'm pretty disgusted right now.

Im so incredibly sorry to hear this. And you're right to be disgusted after all this time! I sincerely hope that after you return the evidence they want, you get your NOA2 and all that comes after it.

You deserve it for your patience and lost time :(

Oh wow, that just sucks! Maybe it would help to gather your evidence again, all off it, add anything further you can dig up and send it in? I don't know, just an idea.

Take heart...at least once you send in your RFE, your petition will get a quick approval. :)

Good luck!

Thanks so much, I am thankful for the support here at VJ. I've spent quite a lot of time wondering if our case was lost so I'm glad to see that it isn't. Whatever I can send them, almost all of it is going to be duplicate of what I've already sent. I have seen most cases get approved pretty quickly after the RFE is submitted, but if it isn't any different than what I've already sent, I'm not sure what the outcome will be.

I'm digging through old credit card bills now!

How about boarding passes for the flight? If you do not have them anymore, call the airline. Depending on the airline, they can issue you a "passenger flight record" and that can also be "primary" type evidence, to show that you actually got on the flight for which you have the 'purchase order'. (I thought I had lost my boarding passes and looked into it through Lufthansa and it would have cost $25 to get one of these.)

I know most of your stuff will be a duplicate of what you already sent, but see if you can include a few 'new' items and put it all together in some sort of order....and you'll see, they'll issue you a NOA2 in no time. :)

Good luck!

I totally agree ! I can relate to how you are feeling right about now. Last year we waited the 5 months and got an RFE. Maybe you ended up with the same moron who had our case to review.

I have kept you guys in my thoughts every day, wondering when your nightmare will end, but I believe once you send them everything under the sun, your approval will come soon. Honestly, I will not feel happy until you get yours first. (F)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I just got your email, Jim, then came straight here. What you said about them adjudicating after receiving the evidence is true - I'd be half inclined to call your congressman again, tell them this BS, and he ought to request an expidite once your evidence is returned.

I'd just resend what you already sent, plus whatever else you can dig up, and put it in the mail first thing Monday.

F'ers.

Boarding passes is one thing I don't have. I flew on Northwest and they took them from us as we boarded the plane. I knew that was not a good thing when I was going there.

Northwest should also be able to fax you, or send you a record of having actually boarded the plane. If you are a WorldPerks member and registered the miles you flew, maybe you can get an account statement printed out as further evidentce?

Hi Jim sorry about the RFE,

I had to track down some flight information from Northwest to get credit from a missing leg of my flight and I just wanted to tell you it can be done. Too, for proof of having met, I just mailed in a copy of my FF statment with my trip on there.

Good Luck!
