Congrats to all those who have been approved over the last few days!!!

I received the approval letter today, now hopefully the turnaround for the new green card is pretty quick.

What has other ppls turnaround time been from getting the approval to getting the new card?????

Uh like a week for us from getting the letter, a week and a half from status change online.

So today I also received Bio retaken notification since I received the waiver in Feb. Appt is on May 28.

However when I checked my case status online, it still shows "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" as of February 28.

Not sure why this happens but I'll still go take my bio to be safe.

Anyone knows the reason?

Also, my appt is at 9:00 AM in the morning while seems like the facility opens at 8:00 AM.

Will it be OK if I walk-in by 8:00 to get it done? Anyone know how long does the bio taking process? Don't want to take a half day off from work....

The February waivers were sent out in mass to almost everyone that was stuck in the waiting game. They are now going back and case by case and seeing if they do need new bio-metrics or not. That's why we're seeing more RFE's, Biometric Requests, and approvals.

Go to your Biometrics, the websites are not always right. Not all bio places take walk-ins, but there's no harm in trying.

On the old site, ( https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do ) it said our case couldn't be found until one day it said Card was being produced, next was tracking for the card that it was in the mail.
The newer site ( https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ ) STILL shows that our case has been received, even though we have the 10 yr green card in hand.

Hi everyone, we also got our approval letter in the mail today! Yay! Here is our timeline in case it may help someone:

Application submitted early May 2018. Got receipt notice mid-June 2018. Got bio-metric waiver in late Feb 2019, but received notice to re-do biometric two weeks ago.

The biometrics was scheduled for last week (the week after notice to re-do bio), and the approval that came in the mail today was dated the day after we did the biometric! This part moved a lot faster than I had expected given how long the wait has been. :D

The online status has never been up to date... The old one still says "Fingerprint review was complete" and the new one stayed at "Case received".

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting! The end of the tunnel is close!

3/9/19 - Received letter for name correct (probably why the biometrics again)

Now it's 1 year 1 day since NOA1 and we are hoping to see approved, card produced, delivered. Hey maybe that's why the site is not all the way up and acting up. Mass approvals and updates finally.

Just wanted to let you know that I was in a similar situation, i.e., received biometrics waiver in late Feb, then received a new biometrics appointment letter this past Friday for a May 30th appointment, which I would have had to re-schedule since we'll be out of the country... I thought I would try my luck with a walk-in appointment yesterday. I showed up at the ASC 40 minutes prior to closing time. The woman at the check-in was super nice. I just handed her my appointment letter and ID and she issued me a ticket number. I went there prepared with a copy of our ticketed airline reservations, etc., but she didn't ask me a thing and since there was no one there, I was called right away, and was out of there in less than 10 minutes.

Not sure if you already left, but I went on a cruise in the Caribbean (including Cozumel, Mexico) in December. My GC was expired and they had even taken it away when I got my 551 extension stamp in my passport. I travelled with the NOA

and my passport w/ stamp and had no problems in any port or on re-entry to US. Didn't even have to explain the situation to anyone. Hope that helps.

Thanks so much, yes it helps

Soooo.....

Came home to my wife all excited. She told me she had good news. Her ROC got approved. We didn't have an interview. She can't wait until she gets the 10 year card because we have a lot of vacation planned and she hates traveling with the extension letter.

Congratulations on your wife's approval. I saw that your case was at the VSC. Was your case transferred to Potomac?  My case is at VSC and has not been transferred and I haven't had any update.
