Just checked here to manila 1300 roundtrip for flights in june. love it so If we go 130 then that's a lot cheaper than flying to Taiwan. so if denied then I will tell her to go back to Philippines, I would put her in an apartment and pay for everything, apartment, power, water, wifi, her food. until this process is done. this way no hotels and when I come for 30 days a pop we have a place to stay. and AC is a must have! lol

Try using www.skyscanner.net (it's a UK site so change the settings to United States - Dollars) to look for deals on airline tickets. In 2016 I was able to get round trip tickets in June for $800. In November 2017 and January 2018 (typically low season) I got tickets for $590 and $570.

Good Site

I also hear you can put a bid in for first class tickets as well, and some people get them for as little as and extra $350 if they win the bid

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

I'm not going to worry about this anymore, US government isn't going to prevent me being with the woman I love, the woman I decided to be my life partner so I'm not going to worry. if ends up being denied, we will do the 130 route, I will go to the phils and get married there. then do 130 and if that fails I will look into selling my house and cars and moving to the phils, which is the last option. So I look at it as plan A , B and C

A = K1

B = 130 Spousal visa , stay in Philippines 30 days then back to USA for 60 , and keep doing that until 130 visa is/if issued

C = Migrate to Philippines.

I am in a 221 g situation and your back up plan is exactly the same as mine and I echo your sentiment about who decides who will be in your future. Be strong keep the faith you and still have K1 hope.

They told us everything was fine. They never said approved. They said there were no issues but the AKA.

Inhabe heard of of people being told they were denied that didn’t get a 221g. I assume it was a very obvious reason for denial like misrepresentation.

these co's need to be more transparent and more forthcoming than they are and not being secretive, they know the answer so why not just say it. I mean the USC pays the 129 fee and more than likely pays the for the medical and the visa fee for their fiancé so for the money I want to know more information and not be so secretive. know what I mean?

I’m actually very impressed with what they do. This is serious business and they are professionals. They don’t always know at that time what the answer is. In my case, I truly believe that they decided to refuse us a couple days after the interview. In your case, I really think you are fine. They didn’t refuse or approve you yet. Stay positive.

ceac still shows "ready" , doesn't show ap, refusal, denied, or issued. but has last update as today. here is what I'm thinking, its a name check. yesterday and after the interview it said "last update april 30 2018 " which was the day of the interview, I'm thinking and hoping it was the consulate that updated sending a message to NVC to find out if the name is a match with others or is cleared and to clarify, then nvc replied to the consulate today and put "last update may 1 2018" this is is what I'm hoping that update was, NVC telling the consulate the name is now cleared. at the end of the interview the CO did tell my fiancé someone will call you in a couple of days for instructions or what to do next.

as a side note , nothing was checked on the 221g , only hand written " no action needed at this time"

This was probably not known by the CO until they ran some final checks and it came up, or somebody else in the chain noticed it. If this were from certain more difficult consulates, I might be more inclined to think the CO was hiding it, but with Manila it likely wasn't even known yet IMO.
