Hello Everyone,

I have asked this question a few times, but never have got a concise answer, so I will ask again.

I sent my petition to USCIS and they recieved and cashed my check on 03/05/07. I got the WAC # off the back of the cancelled check and registered on the USCIS website. It says my case is pending.

My question is: Should I have got an email or letter from USCIS at CSC telling me they are in reciept of my 129F, (NAO1)? It is going on 60 days now and I have heard nothing from them; no emails or a letter. Should I be concerned? I also have not had any touches since then, even though I know this doesn't really matter. Has anyone else had this problem and eventually got their NOA2? Should I call the USCIS?

Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks,

Perhaps you may try the customer svc number for USCIS, to verify that they have the correct address for you on file. If you have a case number, then your petition has been entered in the system and theoretically a NOA1 has been mailed to you. So....either it is lost in the mail, or your address was entered incorrectly. Try 1-800-375-5283

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the NOA1 is not essential to have as long as you have your case #, but if you did not receive yours because of an address mistake, you need to have that corrected, because it may impede receipt of your NOA2, and that you will need, in order to send a copy of it to your fiancee for the interview..

Good luck!

Thanks for you advice. I have been thinking of calling the USCIS, but I didn't really want to deal with them. I might call my attorney again and make sure he doesn't have the NOA1. I know my address is correct, because I have reviewed the copies I sent. I have noticed some people here on VJ never get an official notification. But this has just been a small thorn in my side that I would like pulled out. :-)

Just because your address is correct on the petition, does not mean that it is correct in the USCIS system. Human error.

If your lawyer is responsible and reliable he would have no reason to lie to you about possession of the NOA1, it is nothing more than a hard copy acknowledgment from USCIS that they have your petition and are processing it. Good luck! :)

It took over 2 months for me to get my NOA1 but I did have to call because my receipt # was not very clear on my cancelled check.

You should call USCIS to find out if your # matches what they have in their system. Before they give you any info they ask you a whole bunch of questions to see if you are indeed the petitioner and also to make sure they have it all correct. Don't hesitate in calling them, they're very nice.

I think as long as they got your case, it wouldn't matter if you received the NOA1 or not. You'll be fine. You're not the first and won't be the last who didn't receive the notice of receipt. The most important thing is the NOA2 since you will need that in AOS once your fiancee's there in US.

Relax a little... Save your worries for the NOA2 if ever it will get delayed a little (God forbid).

Good luck to you!

I went through a different USCIS center, but I never received my NOA1 either. No problems for me at all, I got my NOA2 and it was all shipped to NVC. I agree with the previous posters though, you really should ensure that the USCIS has your address recorded correctly. There is always the possibility of human error when entering in your information.

I have the same problem. Never received a hard copy. I called this week to ask about it, and was told that they CANNOT verify your address over the phone. I was advised to give it additional time, and then make an info-pass appointment with my local office (85 Miles from me), go there for the appointment and they will pull up the information at that time and make any changes etc. So, if I do not receive it by the end of the week, I will plan on making the appointment and doing what I have to do. My biggest concern is that if I get an RFE I would be sitting here waiting for something that will never arrive due to an address error.
