Hi good day everyone! Im sorry if it will be a redundant topic but i realy couldnt find the discussion about where to file i-134. Im about to prepare my papers for my k1 visa interview in the embassy.

Other people say you need to bring it during the interview but when I check the website of us embassy manila it specifically said that I shouldnt bring the original i-134, but file it to NVC. Can you please enlighten me?.

Especially to people who just had their interview recently. Because I think this is a new procedure. Thank you very much for taking your time to help me.

You bring all documents to the interview.  The DS-160 is an online form with that you print-out and bring the confirmation page to the interview.   The embassy instructions letter states this also.

It appears the instructions letter has recently been replaced by the online checklist, information is almost the same, I do see a couple changes yet it does clearly state:

Please bring all the required documents to your visa interview to facilitate same-day approval. Note that you risk SIGNIFICANT DELAYS by failing to bring all documentary requirements to your interview.

It's not a new procedure. You always needed to prepare the package of documents to include the I-134 to prove the financial of the family it's just that they didn't always ask for it. Follow Hank's advice and you will be fine.

Those instructions are actually for the I-130, immigrant visa applicants as the K-1 submits NOTHING to NVC.

Hi i am really sorry if i am becoming a bothersome. Just last one, did the consular look for the i-134 during your fiancé/fiancée interview?

My fiancé quoted the one in uscis.. regarding the affidavit of support. So im like..now i dont know what to do. Should i just go for thr interview without the i134 form and tell the consular regarding it. Or plan b... be persistent with my fiancé and have him fill the form. 🤣EE500362-66EF-4A70-BBF8-F925B9866EAC.thumb.png.3e83c713f5a46227a88a62fcba8c3334.png

You are not reading what you are posting.

It states - there is no need to submit an affidavit of support WITH the I-129f  PETITION  this is what is sent to USCIS.   You are confusing two different processes.  Seriously you need to slow down.   You were given clear information to the process, the links to websites with all the steps provide all the steps required.   I-134 is required by USEM for the interview.

USCIS is the process in the USA.

USEM is the embassy in Manila.

thank you for helping out. Im scheduled for an interview in USEM this April.

Finally, understood everything. Actually my fiancé didnt read the whole thing. He just sent me portion of the file, so I was the one who got confused. I had to insist that he has to fill the form and he keep on quoting the one in the photo. So I did research. Read the whole stuff just so to make a point that he has to comple the i-134.

Good to hear you have your interview scheduled.

Now to get your fiance to slow down and read more thoroughly  ;)
