Yeay!. Just got a new update from USCIS about my EAD that they're producing my card and will mail it to me.

Congrats! My NOA is April 4th! Frantically checking my case status about 20 times a day! 😂

Sigh starting to get impatient.

USCIS got our packet on April 30th. Including

I-765,  I-131 and I-485

got my noa1 2 weeks later and already had my biometrics appointment.

Yet it still says “case recieved” on uscis case status.

Its been over 90 days and I’d really like to start working and have a drivers license (Im not allowed to have one until I get my work permit) How long are wait times?

Sigh!

Wait times are averaging around 150 days at the moment. Take a look at your VJ timeline - it estimates approval dates on the basis of other applicants. My NOA1 is April 23rd and my AP/EAD is due to be approved at the end of September, so I would imagine yours would be around the same time. People are getting lucky, though!

Hang in there!

Yes I think for those April filers 2018 will get EAD/AP soon this August or September.

I didn't check my status 20 times a day!. ;) USCIS sent me email early morning. It said they're taking an action to my case and ask me to check the status. I believe you'll get it soon this month.

Hey guys,

I have received my combo card for EAD/AP approximately a week after my status update "new card is being produced." Surprisingly, I also received my new SS card with my married name in the mail today.

Filling Date: March 30th

NOA1 Date: April 9th

To those who changed their address, please request the change of address(online) on all 3 applications individually ( AOS,EAD, and AP),  as per Tier 2 Rep.  Even though I had requested for the address change for my AOS (it is already understood that all the applications will have the same address),  they  still typed the wrong address number (the numbers were interchanged) on my combo card and SS card. I have the notice letter of my address change for my AOS with the right address 2 months ago.

P.S. I even called them a week ago just to make sure they had the right address and they still got it wrong.

CONGRATS!!! We were over in theK1 forum together:)

I’m so happy for you!!

Hi guys, please help. If anyone faces this issue before, please advise.

I called USCIS yesterday to expedite EAD process based on financial hardship and have active job offer. Today, I just received email about my case:

"The status of this service request is:
Due to the high volume of expedite requests for this case type, we are strictly enforcing the criteria that has been set for these expedite requests. While your situation appears serious, you have not provided evidence of an extreme emergent need. "

This is the first email I received, and I didn't not have any chance to send/fax my supporting documents. Is this a system mistake?

Same thing happened to us.  The day I received that message I contacted my Congressman for help and we had the EAD a week later.  I would suggest you do the same thing!

Sigh!

You can get an AB-60 drivers license in California with just your SSN and passport. You will need proof of address, but I just used the letter my SSN was sent with.

Heres the info

Hi, thanks for sharing. I am contacting the local Congressman. Hope I got the same result as I am from California too. Could you please advise ?

1. Which reason you choose to expedite the EAD process? I chose severe financial loss

2. Which document you submitted to the office, besides the  signed release form and active job offer. Do I need to submit a letter of explanation and other supporting documents for financial hardship ?

It has been 3 weeks since I requested an expedite for my AP and 2 weeks and 1 day since I faxed the evidence for my expedite request to the USCIS, and I have not heard anything from the USCIS- no status change. Yesterday, I reached out to my senator, Cory Booker.  Any tips on what else I can do? I tried getting in touch with tier 2 but they say the line is closed...

Check your case history. I am in the same situation, but some updates that my case was assigned to an officer and it was completed.

no idea what that means. And I called and they asked me to wait ..

I did, I am still waiting for the actual card though, was mailed to me on Monday. But my situation is not so typical in one sense as our first attempt of applying for EAD and AP was rejected in February and part of me wonders whether they took it into account or not...

My case history reads the same. It states  it was assigned, evidence was requested, and it was completed- all on the same date that I requested the expedite...

We chose severe financial loss, but since we got the same response as you, USCIS never even gave us the chance to submit the evidence.

As far as what we gave the Congressman: we just submitted the privacy release form and the offer letter.  The Congressman submitted the documents to the NBC the same day, and we got approval notice two days later.

Hey has anyone had any requests for initial evidence on their EAD work authorisation application? My case status changed Saturday for this. So confused as I dont know what they are after. Initial evidence was mentioned, not additional evidence. So could this be something they need like birth certificate or passport photocopy? Even though I sent all that originally? I know they lose things so I'm not too surpised. Just cant find anyone that had this. I know people get them for the i485 form for adjusting status, but not the EAD form.
