Jakarta Medical exam

Hello. Wifes case is complete on march 22 for ir1 and now just waiting on the interview date. She resides in Surabaya and according to the embassy she has at least 7 day til the interview date to get a medical exam. can she take one now and those result will still be valid. she called the hospital and they said expect 10 day wait.

So are you asking how long the exam is valid for? You might want to ask the embassy. They should be able to tell you. I think it's valid for at least a few months, but my memory could be wrong. 

 

Edited to add: I know the gap between my wife's exam and interview was about a month.

Hello does anyone know the price for the medical exam at premier bintaro jakarta? the info on vj seems outdated

I'd e-mail the embassy for that info. I don't know the process for IR-1/CR-1 visa, but for K-1, my wife made an appointment for the med exam after the embassy e-mailed her the first time, but before her interview time was set up.

The medical is good for 6 months.  My wife took the medical before the interview was scheduled.  It will cut into the visa validity a little bit but as long as she is in the US within 6 months of medical she's good to go.

In regards to the cost of the exam, my fiance paid 1,320,000.00 IDR but then had to return to have a septum test and that was extra, probably paid about 3,500,000.00 in total, and having to fly from Bengkulu, hotel, meals, taxi for the three days it took for the testing.
