Hello there!

My aunt is currently here in Canada for a visit. She wanted to go to the US as well but she does not have a visa to go there. If she applies at a consulate in Calgary, what are the chances of getting a visa?

Thanks!

What country is your aunt from?

Just looked at your profile and realised she needs a B2 visa. According to the USCIS website it can be more difficult to get a B2 visa when applying at a Consulate outside of a person's place of permanent residence. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visitor.html

Hmm last year you said your Aunt had a B, is this a different Aunt?

yes this is a different aunt... she has  9 siblings... so I have a lot of aunties  and uncles :)  and yes, her job allowed her to stay here for 5 months... lucky her... because if I were her, I'll be fired. :) anyway, thank you!

Hi! She is from the Philippines. She visited Canada in 2015 and went back after 4 1/2 months and now visiting again for 5 months... She is for sure not going to stay because she still has a job in the Philippines.

hm. might be hard to convince the US consulate in Canada that your aunt has strong ties to the Philippines when she can spend so many months at a stretch out of her home country. Anyway, nothing stopping her trying.
