Do they prioritize by received date or NOA1 date? Does anyone know? Basically which date should I want to count from :) . Our NOA1 was like 3 weeks after received date.

Charlie Y Kary,

I believe that they prioritize by received date and NOT the notice date.

Charlie,

They supposedly prioritize by the "priority date" on actual notice NOA1 that you receive in the mail.

Thanks Scott and everyone else for all the congrats! :) No, nothing changed on the website so that's why I decided to call. I just couldn't wait any longer! The woman I spoke with said my status hadn't been updated due to some sort of address change...that maybe something was mailed to me and returned...but she didn't know for sure. And in my state of glee I forgot to ask what date we were actually approved on! Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait for the hard copy or the email! I bet you guys are approved too - if you haven't heard by 4pm California time, I would give them a call. Especially since you were assigned to an officer last week. I'm almost certain you have an approval :)

Keep us posted!!!

:idea::dancing: Okay,

I told you guys that I would be trying out that RFE trick soon, and today, I finally got a chance to do it! I tried it out yesterday, but I got this one jerkish acting lady that acted like I really gave a "D" about her attitude. Anyways, I was really polite and everything so I figured that I probably called too late. I decided to try the number again but before 5pm. I called around 4:15 and after pushing a million buttons that pertained to receiving an RFE, an automated voice came on and said that I have reached the Vermont service center and that a representative would be with me shortly. Well, I quickly composed myself and prepared my most pleasant speaking voice. An older woman picked up and greeted me. I angelically said good afternoon and explained that I was calling about the status of my case, because I spoke with someone yesterday and she explained that I should call before 5pm to speak with a representative from the Vermont Service Center (Lying was coming so easily.... :thumbs: , I had to do it to ease my nerves, a girl gotta do what a girl gotta do....) I went on to explain to her that the representative told me that she was not able to answer all my questions about my case, especially since I tried to check my status over the phone and it told me to I had to send in more information.... She sounded shocked and said..."Oh! Really!....let me look into that. Man, I knew that I was going to get the good news that I called for....yes :dance: She had me on hold for about three minutes, and came back to tell me that a letter has not been generated, and that I should be hearing something about my case very soon. :dance::dance: Yes, I thought....... I quickly placed a mild disappointed tone in my voice and said, "Really...the lawyer that I consulted with told me that the process would take 6-9weeks. She said, "yes, but they are taking a bit longer, but you should receive something within....I say...the next thirty days. Regardless if you use a lawyer or not, the application process takes the same amount of time. I thanked her and hung up...... :dance::dance: If feels good to know that this part of the process will be coming to an end soon.

I called my baby afterwards to share the good news..... :dance:

Vermont will be issuing a flood of NOA2's soon....guys, hand in there....our time to celebrate is around the corner! :dance:
