I wasn't sure if I should post this or not because I don't want to raise anyone's hopes too much, so please take this information with a grain of salt. :)

I called CSC yesterday using the RFE trick & talked to a VERY nice man. He said my case had not been assigned yet, but that it would be very soon. He then told me that the latest cases to be assigned were dated 5/17/07!!! I asked if I could expect to hear something in the next 2 weeks & he said he thought so. I know that isn't any kind of guanantee, but just knowing my petition isn't lost is comforting!

Also, to maybe help clear up the whole "how do they prioritize petitions" questions: I mailed my petition 5/15 & it was received/signed for on 5/18, but the csc guy said my petition was dated 5/21 which is the date on my USCIS account page (and supposedly on my NOA1, but I never received the hard copy).

Hang in there guys, with luck we will be moving forward soon! ;)

hey Ktjett!!! Thats interesting that guy told you they were working on cases from 5/17/07 becuase when I called on Tuesday (I think), the lady I talked too was very nice as well and she told me they were working on cases that were submitted on 5/24//2007! That is exactly a week off from each other! wonder if one of the people we talked to had misread the calender or something!!!! but just wanted to put this out there!!! My NOA1 was priority date of 5/23 but the site tells 5/29, so it must be when CSC receives them and NOT when TSC receives them! which is kinda BS for us that sent to TSC cause we lose those few days of transition!!! just another messed up thing w/ the system!!!

thats my 2cents for today!!!

good luck to the rest of us may filers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's like what those reps at the VSC were telling us too... did we get any approval yet? NO. At least we know CSC is actually working on K1 petitions and not just telling people that they are. -_-

You're right.....You know what I was thinking....Our petitions must be in someones desk for weeks.....weeks.....weeks....weeks.....they keep it in a mail room for 5 months!!!!! 5 months and then they approve them in 10 minutes....How ironic....!!! How frustrating.....We wait all these time just to know at the end that we are approved......Geeeezzzz!!!

Hey guys, it's most defintely when your petition is received (at any of the service centers) NOT when it makes its way to CSC. I was approved on 9/19 and my NOA1 is dated 5/30. On the website it says my petition was received 5/30, but it was received at NSC on 5/7. If you look at everyone who got approved in the last few weeks, you will see their sent date is all around the same days, but the NOA1 date varies. It's because of data processing, but they do honor the receipt date. The USCIS has issued a statement confirming this. There has been much debate over this on VJ, but my own petition is proof that they don't go by NOA1 date. On your NOA1 it should say receipt date and notice date. Go by that receipt date, it's what they use. Hope that helps! Let's get some more approvals today! smilies-31475.png

See...I think this is BS because I mailed mine off on May 9th to California Center and they signed for it on May 14th which I have certified signature. But online status said they had mailed NOA1 on Jun 1st. I received the hard copy on July 20th with the date stamped on it July 16th. That was right after I had called them on July 14th. The guy I'd talked to sound sort of nervous like they had forgotten about my package. If you check the date of July 16th...it is a Sunday. So go figure...This is why it isn't fair because my NOA1 date is July 16th...if they go by this date. If I hadn't called...God knows....

What I do not understand is why does my VJ adjudication keeps going up one day everyday. In addition, I see that the timeline for USCIS goes up one day everyday. If this continues, theoretically no one will reach the indicated dates on their timelines. The dates will continue to be moved foward indefinitely. What is this all about?

Come on USCIS let's approve a BUNCH of May filers this week!
