I'm with you Tanjay, I want Mirla to have hers too! whenever I see that Mirla posted I'm like - yay, she finally got hers!! If it helps at all Mirla, at least you know you've got all of the May filers wishing you and Pat well!

In other news I called CSC right now and they said they couldnt access my file right now! Wishful thinking = they cant access it because it's already been approved, left USCIS and is already on its way to NVC and I didnt get a CRIS e-mail or anything yet because their computer system from the early 90s has been down and they havent been able to send out the e-mails. Reality = their computer system from the early 90's is down and my file is still "on the shelf"

anyway, postive vibes and much love to you all - GOOOOOOOOOO MAAAYYYY!! :D

They certainly are working like they are in their 90s too!!!!!!!! How many more excuses do they have? There is no such thing as early '90s computer. They had got ridden of those commodore 64s already. Then again... they are probably more reliable than the people who work there.

this waiting is so long!

Finally, the case arrived at Montreal. We got a RFE from them. They were asking for my fiance's legal status in Canada. We replied same day and sent them a copy of the resident certificate.

3 days later we received the packet 3. The instruction letter states that the waiting time for an interview is 4-6 months.

I don't understand what is taking so long. GOD!!!!!!!

i'm thinking to contact my local congressman's office again :help:

My adjudication date has changed for Oct. 6 to Oct 12 since Monday...just in 3 days...is it that bad at the CSC now? I thought part of the increase of filing fees is to hire more employees.

My heart goes out to all of you. We did this last year with the whole IMBRA thing and didn't have the delays you all are experiencing, this is really crazy!!!! USCIS's site has this article about receipt delays and while I know that isn't the problem here, it did give some insight as to where they are putting priority, even pulling workers to get this work done.

Here's the site:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

One of the questions there is:

Q : Is USCIS prioritizing certain application(s) during the receipting process?

Yes. The Application to Adjust Status (I-485) will have first priority because USCIS needs to ensure that these applications are receipted in a timeframe that would allow processing of an application for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) within 90 days of filing as mandated by law [8 CFR 247a.13(d)]. Our second priority will be to receipt the Application for Naturalization (N-400) so that we can minimize any delays in obtaining citizenship.

Another question:

Q : How is USCIS planning to address this receipting delay?

USCIS is realigning its resources to eliminate the receipt delay as quickly as possible. This effort includes increasing the number of contract employees, as well as requiring significant mandatory overtime and shift work. USCIS also has temporarily detailed Government staff to centers that have been affected the most by the large influx of cases.

Of course they want everyones money, so getting the envelopes opened and getting those checks cashed will be a priority. Their receipting update is found at:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

It partially says:

As of September 28, 2007, USCIS has completed initial data entry and issued receipt notices for applications and petitions received on or before the dates indicated:
