I was traveling yesterday and just now got here to read all the ranting/supportive posts.

I must say that I agree with everything everyone here has said about the slowness, the frustrations and keeping positive. It is just such a frustratingly long stupid process but I know that having this thread to rant and rave has helped me put things in perspective ----- the most important part is we are not alone. We are a family of May filers and when the going gets tough we support each other and hold each other up. Even people who have gotten NOA2's (Annete, CM, okspider, etc) have been here to be angry/supportive on our behalf and lets us know that no matter where we are in the process we are here for each other.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and hopefully we will hear some more news starting Tuesday :)

Peace,

Zee and Inusah

Long distance relationships are tough anyway; and adding to that stress by going through an agonizing wait makes the tension hard even when two people are totally in love and totally committed. That's the hard part. But the good part is that we're up next to bat!!! The good part is that our fiances', where ever they are in the world, are hanging on too and are in this together with us. And, sometimes, I've found that the best thing I can do is walk away from the computer, stop checking the USCIS website for awhile, and interact with people around me; because it's SO easy to drive myself mad staying on the computer too long.

Hang in there everyone!!! We are close to getting our NOA 2's!!! Soon we will get that good news!!!

I think that the unique hardship of a long distance relationship is something a couple in a "normal relationship" could never really understand. In all honesty, I never imagined it would be this tough either. In addition, add the unimaginable stress of waiting for this process to end and you have all the ingredients of stress induced anxiety. Like everyone else on here, I try to do everything I can to take a break from this madness but as we all know, the stress monster is always lurking in the shadows our minds  .

It is said what does not kill you only makes you stronger. Not only am I stronger as a person, I know that my relationship with my fiancee is ROCK SOLID. Going through this ordeal together, has shown both of us that we are truly in love with each other and totally committed to spending the rest of our lives together. What would tear apart a lesser relationship, has only been the super glue that has cemented us together forever as one.

This is something positive I have discovered in my attempt to maintain my sanity throughout this crazy process.

Good luck to all May filers.

I overnighted mine via USPS express mail last Wednesday, 5/9 to the VSC. However, I think I will be up for a RFE, as I put N/A instead of None for the spouse names question. Maybe I will get lucky and slide through. Haven't received my green USPS return receipt yet either, but I did get confirmation of delivery to INS, signed by P. Novak (VSC director?) on last Thursday, 5/10.

Good luck and godspeed to everyone

hi,i have a question i hope u enlighten me w/ this...what is noa,noa1 and noa(hard copy)?is that the same w/ the notice containing receipt #?thanks

Hello!!! NOA1 is the NOTICE OF ACTION (or receipt notice containing your receipt number) that you got on the mail after you sent all the documents to USCIS.

When you register on USCIS website, they send you this NOA1 to your e-mail and then you get the HARD COPY on the mail. I just register to the USCIS website so I never got a email from them, I just got the hard copy on the mail.

NOA2 would be the approval letter.

The first day I joined VJ I didn't have any idea what a NOA1 or NOA2 was...hahaha! Somehow I figured it out by looking at my NOA1 hahaha! And a couple days ago I found out what POE was, hahaha! Port of Entry!

Hey........I got a touch !!!!!!

Thank you ASH....Seasuirl....I love you guys...the FRE trick worked!!!! I was able to talk to someone at the CSC. He was NICE, different from all the idiotic brain dead nincompoops who don't know anything but pretend to be up on things and sound like a broken record. This guy was refreshing and honest. At least I found out that my case has not been assigned yet but will be soon....He said they get over 30,000 applications a month at CSC...maybe hard to believe but possible!

I called friday evening....there was no touch on saturday. But today, sunday, I found a touch dated August 31 !!! I know it was the phone call but that makes me feel GREAT !!!!!

THANK YOU ASH........Hope you get your NOA2 soon...

Hi friends, Quick question: when does Part II of the ds230 come into play? you dont send it in w/ ds2001 but its also not on the checklist from the consulate of things that need to be brought to the interview. Of course I will bring it but I'm just curious as to where it fits in the order of the documents. I of course already have everything filled out (except signatures and dates), in perfect order just waiting to be sent to Brazil when the time comes, lol! and when I start to feel anxious I just go over every line on the docs and double and tripple and quadruple check that everything is perfectly in order...this process is causing me to have OCD

-Lo
