Well look at that, I did beat you in the end. Got my 10 year card 1 week after the N-400 interview and the current status of the N400 is "waiting for oath schedule" So you can still try to do one of those New England come backs. Good luck!!

There you go! Funny how things turnaround for the better sometimes.

I had my interview yesterday and passed it. Super easy, but it was definitely an anxious time building up to it. Now waiting on my oath ceremony to be scheduled.

Good luck to all of those still in the process!

Some one has finally opened the box your file is in and after removing all the dust, they have opened it are actually working on your file. This is a good thing!!!

Depending on your immigration history and the status of your actual folder you can expect:

- An RFE (you missed something or they lost something).

- An approval notice (the unicorn you want and we all hope you get)

- A notice they transferred your file (could go to another service center, your field office or the NBC)

If they do transfer you will most likely get an interview notice after that or, if you are lucky, an approval notice (later one is rare but it does happen).

Hi Fadinus,

I'm really sorry to hear that, have you also filed your N-400 for citizenship by any chance?

Yes i have. I filed the N400 in Feb 2019. Case was scheduled for interview in Oct 2019 and was rescheduled. They still haven't rescheduled that yet even though my online status says my estimated completion time is Feb2020.

Hmmm...I wonder whether maybe they wanted to schedule a combo interview for you but your files are not yet at the local office. Did you by any chance receive any updates about your I-751 files being transferred to your local office?

I feel that you will hear something soon but to put your mind at ease, it may be worth it to call them (you may already have though).

I didn't recieve any update about the I751 being transferred to my field office, the last transfer update was that it was moved to the Texas office, i haven't heard anything since then.

I have also called and put in a service request but nothing has come out of it yet.

I hope i hear something soon.

I am optimistic that you will hear something back soon.

My initial combo interview was supposed to be in July last year but I rescheduled, they rescheduled it 3 months later. During that three months was when I received a notification that my case had been transferred to my local office.

You're applying for Removal of Conditions and Citizenship based on marriage to a US Citizen right? I couldn't access your timeline that's why I ask.

Just worried that it may be taking too long.

That has been a really long time. I don't like the fact that they rescheduled your N400 and than went into radio silence. Depending on how long ago you put in the service request, it may be time to start getting your congress person involved.

Good luck

People need to understand: ROC is a low-priority petition for an agency that is swamped with more urgent (e.g., asylum, employment-based) or more visible (e.g., asylum, citizenship) applications. They know you can live a normal life for years without a decision on your petition. Once there is even a question about your case, expect a lengthy delay.

Or force USCIS' hands by filing the N-400, if your ultimate goal is citizenship.

Does it have something to do with the way you organize/file your documents? My ROC window will be opening soon. I am thinking about a way how to organize my documents so they wouldnt put it on the back burner. So when they open it,ok this is complete, looks good and browsing friendly. How do you achieve that? Please advise.
