But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Battlefied 2142 is superb! Unfortunately, it wastes too much energy from the computer hardware. I'm trying to make my home energy efficient. If I ran the game, I need to run it on my desktop computer that has 800 watts power supply!

what??

800 watts? do u have 4 graphic cards in ur pc? i think that a decent 512mb or more, standard 450watt power source pc can suppport battlefield.. or am i wrong

You are right. 450 can run a video card that runs 2142. I run a 700 watt because I have 2 graphics cards in SLI. Graphics settings all the way up.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

A lot of video cards power requirements aren't so much the total wattage of a power supply. It's how much the card requires on the 12v rail. Most high end power supplies are geared toward gamers and thus have high 12v rail specs. My X1900XTX hair dryer ( :P ) requires 30a or more on the 12v. I had a 600W Enermax power supply that supplied 24a and all it would do is beep at me. I got a (MadDog? CompUSA) 700W with 30a and all is good.

The Incredible Hulk is massive destruction. I love to pick up the little men, the tanks, the cars, and chuck them into the air.

I've never seen a game where you can play golf with Pedestrians and a torn up lamp-post ;)

or you can play master of orion and obliterate 300 billion people with biological weapons (one of many choices)

eta: genocide - urban renewal on a galactic scale

Did you ever play Alpha Centauri? It was an unofficial sequel to Civilization (set after you win the game by building a spaceship for colonising other planets). It had a pretty good diplomacy engine. You could outfit your soldiers with chemical weapons or use nuclear weapons that could literally blow a hole in the landscape - but you'd get embargoed by the other civilizations.

Also because the voting system didn't have proportional represenation - once you were powerful enough you could win basically every election even with everyone else voting against you.

never tried that one. currently i'm on age of empires 2, silent hunter 3 and 4, port royal, civilization, and of course - moo.

eta: i have aoe 3 but don't like it too much... graphics are different and the game limits you on certain things - like towers.

I have Silent Hunter 3. Still can't shoot the torpedos without the automatic targetting.

BTW - if you like Master of Orion you might want to check out Galactic Civilizations 2, which is essentially the same - but has some pretty cutting edge AI.

Counter Strike still holds it's place when it comes to balance and fast pace in online team games.

And it is actually a family binding ritual, since I play against members of my family back in Brazil...

ETA: :jest:, so people don't think I am insane or anything

Do you guys allow for killing your own team members? My God, I remember playing it online and there'd always be some yahoo doing that. They'd eventually get bumped off the server but man was it annoying.

I also think the sniper rifle is to easy - at least in the first version.

Yes, but the new version blocks the guy if he keeps doing that over and over again...
