Why do you have to submit on Thursday?  Your timeline says you received your GC on 05/07/16 - it should only expire 05/07/18, and you can submit anytime within the 90 day frame before it expires.

We received the 1st NOA saying we're 120 days out from the 2 year GC anniversary! Filing in less than a month

I guess I will be going here as I have been procrastinating with the petition. Anybody else feel like there is a lot less paperwork with this one that with the AOS? Looks like all forms are now condensed  in the I751 and that is the only one we file.

I ended up being able to send my package last Friday so technically I'm on the January list. My husband's w2 ended up coming earlier than what I thought so we got our taxes done but i'll be keeping an eye out on this thread for comparison purposes! Good luck guys! check and double check your evidence before it's too late and you've sent it away :-)

huh haha? This will most definitely be my biggest packet yet with all the bank statements we have to submit.  And it's the one I'm least certain about since it's really up to the adjudicator to decide the amount of comingling they deem appropriate.

Well, as we both had bad experiences with previous relations, neither one of us wanted a joined bank account, so we don't have those. Also I made a selection on the evidence. I feel that nobody is happy with 24+ months worth of insurance bills, phone bills etc. So I picked a few months here and there and put those in.

I also figured there was no reason to try and get out of an interview with front loading this time. I did not get an interview on the AOS part so I'm pretty sure we get one this time around.

Gotcha, I didn't know there was a correlation between interviews for AOS and interviews for ROC - that would be awesome if we didn't get one based on our AOS interview  When are you filing? 

 

Also do you all think 33ish pics that span the marriage is enough?  Our AOS interviewer really wanted pics of us last time, which I was surprised at since I thought they were pretty low on the evidence scale. Goes to show that each adjudicator is different!

Hi, thank you for sharing you plan. My window starts at Feb 9th and I am in the middle of putting up docs. 

 

I just wonder, if you get your 2017 tax done, will you have your transcript from IRS immediately? Or would you just enclose a copy of your tax return? I think IRS transcript should be of higher authority but I wonder how soon we can get the transcript to put in the application.

The transcript still isn't ready to be viewed as of today and this was after I completed everything on 1/26. I printed out the tax return along with the w2's and other tax docs with info I had needed to enter like the 109510 1099-SA, and the 5498-SA.

 

While yes the transcript makes things easier by having all the info on 1 or 2 pages, the tax return along with w2 also has all the same info. They guy looking at our stuff will just have to flip through a few more pages is all.

Our taxes were approved and IRS says transcripts can be requested 2-3 weeks after submitting taxes, so hopefully we can request that soon!

I will be sending our docs tomorrow Feb 05, I just wanna make sure that I am sending the right version of the form I-751. Shall I still use the previous version or the new version 12/05/17 edition?

You must send in the newest version--don't take the risk!. " Starting 02/19/2018, we will only accept the 12/05/17 edition"
