Hello everyone, Me and my wife been married for over 10 years and we have 4 beautiful kids. I have my 601-A approved and was denied visa abroad due to misrepresentation, which was unintentionally done in 2007 at the time when I enter the US. So I have to file another 601 waiver which was received at Nebraska lockbox on sep 2017. I been apart from my family for 10 months now and they have been struggling financially and emotionally ever since.

So just a advice everyone...!!!

 

if you are going abroad for your visa interview, make sure you remember everything you have ever answered at any immigration interview or at the time of entring the US. Also make sure to talk to a lawyer or few and make sure to tell them every detail. I suggest it would be better to take your wife with you if going out of the country for a visa interview. 

I pray for everyone who is going thru this tough situation and being away from their loved once right now, That god bless everyone with his favor in Jesus name.

Hello my i-212 and i-601 were receive on January 30, 2017 and i still have no answer, i been living In my country Guatemala since December 2016 hope they get approved soon.

Just one that i know of so far in the past week and it is from an RFE from an I-601 submitted on December 9, 2016.

We submitted our I-485, I-601, and I-130 on September 23, 2016 from within the US. Had our interview on June 21, 2017 in Baltimore, MD and still waiting on a decision.

your case is the same as mine. Wow it will be 2 years for you in September. I hate this wait. Looks like i am in it for a long time. Very disappointed. Was your 601 because of a misrepresentation or CIMT?

My waiver was received on November 28th 2016 and on April 4th 2018 we were advised that an RFE has been sent. Now we are waiting for the letter to know what they need from us. I will advise the outcome asap!

Just an FYI to all.......

 

Make sure your passport has more than six months validity at time of medicals and submission at the embassy for the immigrant visa. My spouse was told to get a new passport due to her passport was just one day less than the six months required and hospital refused to attend to her stating it is the embassy directive. She would have gotten her immigrant visa next week but now have to wait for the new passport to arrive then do medicals and submit for visa issuance after that.

@Dim Woo any updates? I am a US Citizen and I applied for my fathers AOS back in September 2016.. we had our AOS interview 01/29/18 that went well but then on 02/23/18 we received a RFE asking for a 601 fraud/misrep waiver. Thankfully my grandmother is a US Citizen as well so he qualifies for it that way. We will be sending off the waiver next week. Our lawyer also told us that it goes to the same field office we had our original interview at. That the person who interviewed us is the one that makes the call  Hope fully it all goes well.

lol not a good assumption considering the fact we where aware from the start that we would need a waiver
