Yes its finally updated last night. I woke up in the middle of night as I had a dream about my case having some problem. In my dream my online status was saying "case not found. Error!!". As soon as I woke up from the dream I checked my online status and it was changed to 'Send to DOS". I'm not making this stuff up. Whats even interesting is I had checked it last night around 10 pm before going to bed and it was still saying "Received".

So now it’s not a dream. If it was just sent then I would say by next Weds NVC should have it. Then the following week hope that NVC can give you a scan date...

Glad it was sent, so now your out of hellbraska and on to a new journey..

Please house my AOS fee just changed to PAID now... I want to ask if my wife need to fill any form online for her AOS or she will just print out i-864ez forms then fill it and include other documents? Hope to read your response please

Shexy, please go to nvc.state.gov and read up on all that you need to do. It’s most helpful to gain knowledge of all the steps..

If the AOS fee now says paid, then the IV fee can now be paid... After the IV shows as being paid then the DS-260 form will unlock and that form will need to be filled in by the benificiary... Don’t try to confuse yourself all at once.

Study the steps and people are here to assist you...

I decided to give NVC a second call today after I was told my case will be sent to a supervisor for review for the heck of it and I got this pleasant lady on the phone who with all joy told me my case was received on the 26th of February and to give them 8 weeks. She proceeded to count out the weeks and told me to call back after April 23rd if I haven’t received a case number by then. I burst out laughing and she joined me. Now all I want to do is cry lol. No one said it was going to be easy right?

Oh my, that's so disheartening. I'm at week 3 waiting for NVC case number. I've been following a few cases similar to mine on here and most that I've seen have gotten their case number at the 1 month mark, so I'm focusing on that. I want to call NVC every day, but I know it won't make a difference as I understand the wait is long. :crying: I need my husband to come home already!! We all need our significant other....

It is!! My I30 got approved at 7months and I was really happen thinking my husband will be here sooner than I thought. I guess that’s not going to happen. I don’t know how cases are assigned since some people who were approved after me have their case numbers already and way into the nvc process. The feeling is not good

You can file. Your tax preparer probably doesnt have much experience with this type of filing. You got two options you can file separately and just write in on the tax form NRA( non resident alien) on the tax form no social is required. Or you can apply for an itin number to file taxes as married filing jointly if your spouse has a low income or no income this will be beneficial for you but be prepared you may be subject to fbar and fatca on your spouse bank accounts depending on the amount she has in her bank accounts. And if you do the jointly tax document make sure you have something showing the spouse income and use to your full advantage of conversion to usd rates at its best rates and if you paid foreign tax so you dont get double taxed.  Weigh your options when doing taxes.
