Yay. Supply side economics. The Republican version of the internet lottery scam.

You'd be surprised at how many people still believe in that whole ponzi scheme.

Actually not really because his first 2 years in office he had a overwelming majority in both the Senate and the House. Also don't forget that his fellow Dems were pretty much in lockstep behind whatever he wanted to do.

All the while Trump has to fight other Republicans because they are listening more to their lobbyists than they are to the people.

Personally I think it is Trump fighting the Washington establishment regardless of party.  That is one thing the Dems do is keep their party in line and of course Obama was one of them.

Or the number of people that have faith the DNC will run a believable primary.

Didn't a relatively unknown person politically just win the Republican primary and the presidency? So how is it rigged? But part of the reason he won the primary was because of all the free publicity he got during it. I guess they did that because they had the pgate tape on him and thought that they would help him win the primary and then sink him right before election day.

Trump ran for president in 2000 as a reform party candidate. He threatened to run several other times; 1988, 2004, and 2012. He is not unknown politically, and certainly not unknown culturally.

Kind of weak, but of course there is only one side that did this, so it is not really a valid comparison.

I think the point is that the RNC pool had at one time 16 or 17 choices, but the DNC fielded four or five.  I think you have to ask yourself why as everyone could tell Hillary was not a strong candidate and had plenty of baggage, but no one dared to challenge her.  The fix was in, and I think a lot of people knew it.  Brazille only confirmed it.

No, the specific point I was responding to was that Trump was relatively unknown. As celebrity candidates go, I doubt there is anyone in America who didn't know who he was. Regardless, he had some previous political involvement as well.

As to Trump, yes, he has certainly been in the spotlight for many years, but politically, he was an outsider much like Ben Carson, and Carly Fiorina.  Probably explains why he gets it from both sides of the inside the beltway types.
