      Hi to all!

I (the petioner), had started the process in June 2016 and after the approval the paperwork was sent to the local embassy in Eastern Europe. My fiancée passed the medical exams and went to the embassy for the visa interview itself at the end of October,2016. After she was being interviewed for half an hour, she was told that a couple of documents were missing and she had to mail them ( a translation of her birth certificate and the detailed certificate of marital status). The documents got to the embassy in a week.

Eversince, her status states "Administrative Processing", almost a full year after the visa interview. Her passport and all other original documents are at the embassy.

What at would be the reason for such a huge delay and is there any good move I could do?

I did sent them some more pictures from holidays in this year on a couple of occasions. I also sent them pictures of her pregnancy in her 12th week last month ( yes, in the meantime we are expecting our first baby).

p.p. We both don't have kids ,and I am the only one that was married before for a year ( 2005-2006).

Not familiar with that ... I am US citizen through naturalization (originally from the same country in Eastern Europe as my fiancée ).

Look up who your congressman is, call their office and ask for the lesson who deals with immigration affairs, then explain your case. They will need you to sign a release for having them inquire, mine emailed it to me. I signed it and scanned it back in along with scanning copies of relevant documents, our NOA2, his AP form etc.  They inquired and the consulate has 30 days to respond, but my liaison told me they usually respond in 2-3 days.

If you need help, send me a message with your zip code and I'll help you find the right person.

Thank you everyone in advance for any advice...

Contacting congressman or attorney is useless, I been through all of that , if I’m not mistaken your visa catagory is K1 ? I’m sure CO handed her white sheet 221g ? Admin proccessing is black hole & nothing you can do about it except wait..... I have been in AP since May 2017.

Any red flags in your case ?? Age difference , religion , any police record for her or you ??

No red flags : no police/criminal record except 2 speed violations(last one in 2006) on my account - zero on hers, same Christian religion, 11 years of age difference ( I am older) , taxes being paid fully every single year , she is employed , parents alive, no siblings on both sides...

Age differnce is an issue and it’s not an issue unless you prove the authenticity of your relationship... did she do the medical again while she in AP for a year now ?? I have seen here on VJ people with age differnce on AP for a very long time but again it all depends each n every case authenticity.

Reason for my AP is cos I’m Muslim ...

I'm assuming you meant you're Muslim and your partner is not, which raised a red flag. Being Muslim is not cause for AP and many Muslims go through the process fine.

The relationship is proven true - in the initial claim we sent pictures and tickets of our holidays in Thailand, Maldives and Cyprus that took place 1-3 years before I had applied for K1. We do want a marriage before our baby is born , but if we do marry that would automatically cancel  K1 , and then there will be a whole new process of application and wait...

Okay. Then maybe it's just security checks that many people from Pakistan go through. Again, being Muslim isn't a cause.
