I sent my package to vt on the 10th they received it, they didn’t cashed the check and no Letter . Im really Concerned

Strange indeed; one would assume USCIS would ensure money in their account before sending out the NOA.

Sounds like Vermont is overloaded. 

Could it be that VSC hasn't opened i751 packages received in the past two weeks?

Ours package was received on 10/20 and the check isn’t cached yet !

I'd assumed the same but I guess not the case. They do open them but probably depending on the volume they receive each day, things move at a different pace.

Good luck everyone.

 

Mailed our package and got the receipt letter in a week. I can't check the case status online yet. I guess we'll have to wait for the bio metrics letter next.

It does seem strange that some were actioned quickly (mine was cashed within 3 days and the receipt received in 4 days) but some haven't been cashed yet.

 

I very much doubt that USCIS will send out the receipt without cashing the cheque either...

I for one too would think USCIS would cash the check before sending out the NOA, but AlluringSoul seems to have had a different experience.

Hi - VSC cashed our check 10/19. NOA was dated 10/10 and received on 10/21 (already on master list). No biometrics yet.

Thanks for the update gursha. I'm specifically looking to hear from those who have not had their NOAs/checks cashed (as of this morning).

It seems like a lot of us here have had the same experience. NOA doesn't really serve as a receipt...

Me neither. Once you get your bio letter, you should be able to view your status online. Although sometimes those are not even updated...  I hope you get your bio letter soon!

If checks are cashed after a receipt date, it just doesn't make sense to call it a receipt  Who knows what they are doing there... lol

(I recall somewhere in the instructions USCIS converts paper checks into e-checks or something similar.. for quicker access to funds)
