Our case was received by NVC on 4/19/2018. I called in May and June to follow-up and was told to wait until the 8-week mark. I called back at the 8 week mark and was suddenly told that our case was received on 6/20/2018!!! I am not sure how to handle an incorrect priority date and dont know exactly what went wrong. The case has been sent to a supervisor and I have sent an email to NVC with the I-797 approval, which is dated 4/5/2018! Any help would be highly appreciated...

Look back at my previous posts - this is exactly the same as happened to us.  I rang and spoke to a supervisor almost daily.  It transpires that it is what happens with their new computer system but that isn't good enough.  We got to the next stage at one stage short of 12 weeks since they received the cases and it was then through CEAC which is very quick.  But my advice is keep up the pressure and ensure that your case is escalated or even expedited if you can hassle them enough.

good luck!

In addition to the list of civil docs here we were also asked for our daughter's marriage certificate which is not listed.

Great Hopeful_nc.  Our interview dates came through today - and typical they are for different days!  Will try to see if one can be moved tomorrow!

That seems crazy they put them for different days!  Hope you manage to get them changed. How far out are they?

Mine is Aug 24, his is Aug 29 - both early in the morning.  That means two trips to London, which is not necessarily easy from where we live!

Both our cases have just been completed by NVC and are on their way to London!  Yay!

So they are not even a day apart!  I hope my Mum and a dad can get them on the same day and not early in the day. They hate going to London!  We happen to be across on vacation when they have their medical scheduled so we are going to have a few days in London with them.

Hi...My son petitioned for me on December 5th 2017.  Copies of his birth certificate, my birth certificate and biographic page of passport were sent with the petition.

We got approved on June 26th and sent to National Visa Center on July 2nd. I am outside of the US and just now awaiting the visa process to schedule interview at the US Embassy.  My approval came closer to 7 months. It depends on what service center your petition is sent to. Also, I had no request for additional info...that can delay the process.

All the best to you.

Which service center was it sent to? We are through Nebraska, I petitioned the I-130 for my stepson in early December, got approved July 5th, and before I saw this I was expecting it to take another 6 weeks for something to be sent to the NVC, which is what happened with my husband's (granted, more complex) situation.

No, I haven't called yet. We are not in a big rush, so we thought we will wait for the usual time it takes them which on the confirmation says 2 weeks. I'll call next week if I haven't heard anything.

Just to update: I called NVC last Mon. Got both invoices for the IV fee on Friday. Will pay coming week. Then on to DS-260 - which we plan to file some time later as that is really the last step when you have any control over the schedule.

Just for information - apparently you can't change dates until the appointment has been missed, and even then there is no guarantee that the new appointments would be on the same day.  So we have left it that we will be going to London twice!

Urgh, not fun. That is going to go down like a lead balloon with my folks if they end up on 2 days!  Oh well, I keep telling them this process is all about perseverance and patience!

In form DS 261, I put “ No” to the question “ do you wish to appoint an agent ....?” And submitted it. How can I correct that? Please help!!!

Hi - not sure if you got an answer to this already, but in case you haven't. I think you can submit a new DS-261 with YES as an answer. But do call NVC to confirm whether you can submit a new DS-261.
