Time line processing

I was just wondering if anyone can confirm the general accuracy of the processing times here on VJ as compared to the time line on the USCIS?

As of this morning,  VJ reports that USCIS is processing as of May 1,  2017, and on the USCIS site, which was updated just 2 days ago states that the Cal is now working on aps as of March 1. 2017   Quite the discrepancy!  I got my NOA1 as of May 3rd.

The VJ timelines are based on data from users here, so there is going to be some inaccuracy due to people writing incorrect dates, or simply not filling in all of the timeline. Based on posts in the forums here, we also know that USCIS is generally ahead of their official processing times (updated to as of March 1st a few days ago for K1 visas). I would say that you can't really follow either of these timelines very strictly. Some get NOA2 in 3 months and some receive it in 5+ months. I would say the average processing time is around 4 months right now, possibility increasing very slightly.

This site has nothing to do with USCIS and is just a very small percentage of applicants

Yeah,  however, I was wondering where "this" site compiles their information about Visa application process dates.

Its all based on us who fill out there timelines, that's why I get on peoples cases when they come asking for help and don't fill it out.

But the data isn't always accurate, you'll see the dates moving back and forth or maybe further ahead than it should be.

Now its definitely helpful, I just sometimes see people saying they're going to call USCIS and use that data for a complaint.

Oh,  I misunderstood.  So the date here generated for adjudication of K1 petitions (or any) is just a computer model based on prior performances of other members time lines.  I reality,  when the USCIS says they are just now starting March 1st,  it could actually be a 6 or 7 month wait for an NOA2.  Yes, I did my time line, so I guess it's still wait and see which is more accurate.

Yes, and USCIS tends to give delayed dates as well to add to the frustration, I think they do this to prevent people from saying they're out of processing time.
