It could be your local office too. Maybe they’re just busy. I paper filed mine end of October 2017 and became a USC in March 20 2017. Where is your local office?

Just a quick update, wife had the interview in Chicago on 4/4 and is approved. Officer said we will get the oath date in mail soon.

 

The interview lasted all of 12 mins. Most of it was application review, the officer went over each question and confirmed the answer. Then asked three questions (wife answered correctly), gave a card and asked to read the question on it, then told her answer and asked her to write it on a piece of paper. After that asked a couple of questions about employment & marriage and that concluded the interview.

 

We took all sorts of supporting documents & paperwork, but the officer never asked for any of them. Only took the passport, green card & driver's license and made copies. That's all.

I have had my green card since 2011, but applied for naturalization only in 2017. Technically I am 5 year rule, but on the docs I marked that I am applying as a spouse of American citizen (3 year rule).

@watashi Got my green card Apr 2012 but I went out of the country in May 2012-Dec 2012 to finish my studies. I was out for more than six months so I assumed I could apply as of my return date of Dec 2012. Filed on Sept 2017 as an early filer (assuming they consider Dec 2012 as my start date) for the 5-year residency requirement.

Thanks to both of you. I'm still of the opinion that @kaberosi should get their interview notice soon, if it's reliably known that there's no background check hitch. I've about 15 Sacramento FO applicant stats from 2017 collected from here and trackitt, and they all have priority dates->interview letter durations within a very narrow band, ranging from 155 to 201 days (mostly clustered around 170-190). The only exception are two outliers of >300 days, both of which I assume were BC delayed. If you don't get it by start of May, I suggest a second Infopass.

Yeah. The person at the USCIS told me that I was cleared/no red flags, but I'm not sure how reliable that is because he seemed unsure (due to his mannerisms) but I will take his word for it for now. I will certainly be happy and relieved once I get my interview letter.

Hi guys, just an update on my interview today: 

 

All went well, and i got recommended for approval, just an advice to anyone with pending i751, to take your spouse with you. 

The IO told me in the beginning of the interview that they should have adjudicated my i751 first and then schedule my N400 interview, and she can't do the N400 interview until the i751 is done. 

 

So she was like first lets see if you have enough RECENT supporting documents for i751, and i told her that my spouse is outside in the waiting hall in case that's a better option (even though i had enough documents), so the IO was like even better, lets get her in, so we went both and called her in, she asked for her ID and couple of questions about how and where we met, where she works, very general questions, it didn't take 3 minutes and she was like ok thank you, now you can leave and made me stay for my N400 interview. She escorted her out, and when she came back we started the N400 interview:

 

Yes/ No question, Read a sentence, Write a sentence, Civics questions (answered first 6 right) signed some papers, and then Congratulations, i recommend you for approval, the system will update this afternoon or so, and you shall receive an Oath letter in 2 weeks. 

 

Thats all folks, hopefully i get it sooner than that, Good luck to everyone as well.

Thanks @syrialord  and Good Luck to you as well on your upcoming interview. Here is how it went :

 

 Got to the uscis office  45 mins ahead of time. Stayed in the car for 15 mins going through my docs and all immigration applications i had. Checked in 30 mins before the interview and was finally called in at twenty minutes later than scheduled time. The interviewer was nice guy and he apologized about things running late but once we got to his room, there was another person -I was like whats going on , why two people interviewing me but the officer explained the other person was training so the person will be observing. I was like phew .

 

The interviewer swore me in and started with civics test. Answered the first six right and he moved on to the reading and writing. That was over quickly too. Then he went over my application, verified all the info and asked me to verify my name, address etc and said the same info will be used in my Naturalization certificate. Once, i had verified the info and gave him my signature, he printed out the receipt and said he believes i should be approved and he will forward that info to his supervisor for final approval and he walked me to the waiting area.

 

Came home and within two hours , I got a notification saying my oath ceremony has been scheduled and will receive a notice in mail. Now waiting on the date for oath. The interview was very easy and smooth, IMO.
