Foreign Addresses

My fiance lives in Egypt and we are having some issues with the details of his address not aligning with the boxes available in the forms. I feel silly for not knowing how to write an address but does anyone have experience with Egyptian addresses on US forms. He typically would write it:

Name

Street number and name

Area Name

Apartment

City, Zip Code

Country

Under what box would we include the area? Not all places have a zip code that we can find or he knows, is this common and acceptable? Do we need to include the governorate?

For area name, you can just add it to "Street Address". If a zip code is not available or known for his address and he has never used one when completing his local government forms, then don't bother trying to come up with one or use one that neither of you are sure of. You can leave the "Zip Code" box blank and it wouldn't be an issue.

And if the street address is too long, use Part 8: Additional Information to input the details. That's what the section is for. You can make extra copies if you need more than one page of Part 8.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

Agreed, we left the box blank, it was not an issue since their are no zip codes in Egypt
