Hello everybody, I hope you are all having a good day!

I am new to this thread, I just got a case completed today and I'm wondering if I should wait a couple of days to call NVC and ask for the interview date. I read in the FAQ that NVC usually starts scheduling interviews the last couple of days of the month and the first week of the next month. Do you guys think I can get an interview scheduled since my CC was today? I'm from Colombia and my visa category is IR1, I appreciate if somebody can give me some information :)

Congratulations. Why wait they been scheduled since yesterday. I have added you to the spreadsheet.

Thank you, ill keep you updated on my case. Does anyone here knows how to request an expedite to get a faster interview?

I live in Oaxaca, Mexico at the moment and for the past month we've been having non stop earthquakes, im really paranoyed and alone here (moved here 2 months ago for work), so i would like to request an expedite. Lmk if anybody has an idea. Planning to call Nvc tonight to see what i can do. Thanks y'all

Yes there's even a sample email on 1st post.

First you have to wait until your case gets to the embassy. Once there then you can contact the embassy and request a date change. Every embassy is different some do some never do. But doesn't hurt to ask.

Just an updated.  My wife interview was today.  Interview went well, they took her passport and fingerprints.  As of right now her status shows Administrative Processing.

The only issue we have is that I forgot to submit my 2016 1040 form.  I originally didn't submit it since I filled an extension.  I should get my 2016 1040 form tomorrow, and I've already contacted the embassy to confirm if they will take a scanned copy, rather than sending the actual 1040 form... we will see what happens.

Oh, no, I'm so sorry to hear that! I second the other post to call NVC right away and also the embassy where his interview would take place for advice.

Is this blocking of the flights supposed to be temporary or indefinite? Because if it's temporary I guess you could just reschedule the interview, but otherwise then yeah I guess it'd be a question for a lawyer or nvc/embassy :/

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!

I called the NVC, they said there is nothing can do and even if there was, all my information was transferred to the embassy so they have nothing to refer to.

I called the Embassy 3 times hoping the person would be nice enough to allow me to speak with someone in the visa department but they weren't and just told me to send my concerns via email. My husband and I have sent 4 emails with no response. We don't have a lawyer. I guess all we can do now is wait and see what happens. Thank you for your support. This forum is truly god-sent. Good luck to all waiting for this "hell" of a process to be over.
