How  are you sure about medical is valid for 1 year? So far I know it is only valid for six months. Isn't it? I got few papers and CD on the day of the interview. It's clearly written there  with the validity of the medical exam  and vaccination 😉

Am sorry, yes for the K-1 the validity is 6 months and for Adjustment of Status its 1 year.

Also, since you've already sent in you won;t have to worry about it because the late processing is from their side

Medicals should be done way before your interview because it will take 2 working days to get your sealed medical certificate from the Panel Physician. Medicals done in foreign country is valid for one year so am guessing it will expire Feb 22nd 2018 ?

This medical was for my Fiancé's k1 visa interview.  Unfortunately they scheduled it the day before interview.  That is why the CO gave yellow card with medical documents needed and AP. That wI'll be 6 months ago on August 23rd. I just don't understand why AP is taking so long..

I assume you sent the medical paperwork as soon as you recieved it?

He should not undertake another medical unless and until the embassy requests it for visa issuance again.  A medical is only valid for 6 months and the visa validity is tied directly to that.  Taking it again would only reduce the time he has to enter if he is granted the visa.  You certainly could contact them about it since they are related and the reason he was in AP was the medical.

The medical is valid for 6 months for a CR-1 as well.

As noted above, the visa's validity is tied to the medical. So a new medical will be needed before the visa can be issued, but I would not suggest doing it until they request it.
