I called today NVC and the lady said : Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Passport/ID,  Police certificate. I believe the fingerprints would be taken after you know your case is complete and you are going to have an interview. They would say it for sure if it was with the whole pack..

I don't know about the fingerprints as well..We never received anything asking for fingerprints..

I think it depends on the country maybe?

I simply sent my British Police certificate and I believe I gave my fingerprints to the embassy of Japan in order to receive my Japanese police certificate!

I don't think it is a requirement for every country and on the NVC barcode checklist it certainly doesn't ask for fingerprints to be submitted.

It actually depends on the country. For NIGERIA, it's usually attached to the police clearance certificate.

Hello, I've paid my Iv fee last week but today it shows pay now ,what do I do now? Should I pay again or wait till I call the NVC?

Don't pay again until you have confirmed that you need to.

I had something similar happen recently. Check on the "receipts" portion of ceac to see what status is reported there? Also, check with your bank to see if they are/have processed the payment. You can also just call nvc and ask.

in my case we actually received two invoices for the IV fee. I paid after receiving the first and then about 12-24 hr later got a second invoice (only one beneficiary in our case) and the fee status changed back from "in process" to "pay now". But when I went to the receipt page it still showed "in process" with the payment confirmation info. I also called to make sure that the second invoice wouldn't be a problem and the said that there is a glitch in the system and sometimes this happens. Once the payment clears it will be fine and the second invoice doesn't impact anything. About 1 day later the payment was processed and the ds-260 unlocked.

How long after the nvc received your approved petition did they assign a case number? 🤔

Some say two weeks.  I called them last week and they told me I have to give them 6 weeks but I'll call again on Friday to check in ^_^ I've read on here several times to keep trying if you can get your case number over the phone you can start to process sooner.  The info on the first message in this thread is very helpful.  I have my packets just about all in order.  It's so hard to be patient when you miss them sooo much!!

From the time NVC received my case from USCIS to the time I got my welcome email was 2 weeks. I was able to call and get my case/invoice # after 1 week, but once logged in I couldn't actually do anything. Once I received the welcome email that opened up the fees so I could pay. Then it took about a week for the payment to clear and change from In Process to Paid.
