Absolutely disgusting! I don't know what's people's fascination with allowing so many damn cats to occupy a home! Every home that's had a cat I've walked in to during my life, I've always smelled that stinking litter box! How do cat owners tolerate the stench? Is it that avoidable? The cats take a ####### in a box. They roll the ####### around with their paws and bury it. Then they jump and walk all over kitchen counters where food is prepared. Not to mention all the other places they walk all over the house with their crappy paws. I don't get it. I can't be convinced that cats are clean animals. <_<

and a dog licks its nuts before it licks your hands. do you think they are cleaner?

btw, most of us cat owners don't go smelling the litter box - and frequently changing it helps too. but i doubt you'd know that.

Hey Chuck. Your direct response to my post made me realize that I must have been insensitive to your way of life. If consuming cat ####### with each meal in your home is what you prefer, I have no problem with that. Obviously, I have offended you because you tried to insult me with what wit you have. Am I sorry? Absolutely not. My name is not Don Imus. For a person, like yourself, that "THINKS" they know it all, you were sure quick to say that you doubt I would know about frequently changing a cat's litter box. I've only read a couple of your posts and that was enough for me to see what kind of person you are. As much as you are trying to impress everyone with your intelligence, I'm not the first person to tell you that you DON'T know as much as you think you do. And, you, sure as hell, don't know anything about me. I welcome whatever comments you have. I know myself, and others, here would find it very entertaining and hang onto every word you write! I will warn you. Spelling and punctuation count!

Here's something to add your collective thought process running on low voltage. My dog is a female. She does not have testicles, as you have stated. But I doubt you'd know that!

hey, whatever your name is, in case you didn't notice, the name is charlesandnessa, not chuckandnessa ;)

furthermore, i've owned a few female dogs too. guess what they lick. perhaps that's what you prefer?

and i've duly noticed your warning. yawn.........

I agree with pixiegunn, I think it's sad. Yes, it's disgusting too but truly sad. I don't think anyone enjoys living in that kind of mess. I think, since he's an older man, he probably had some kind of issue, mental or otherwise. I find it very hard to believe someone would be so nasty and enjoy living in filth this much as to have 300 cats in one house. I also feel sorry for the kitties.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

fyi, if you have a reasonable amount of cats in your home, and maintain your litter box daily there is no smell.

especially if you have one of these: scoop free litter box my mom has two of these, and two normal litter boxes (for four cats) and there is NO SMELL. you don't even have to clean it for a whole month!

but well, for 300 cats....its hopeless. :(

so your dog licks her punana instead before she licks you! whatever. ;)

We have 3 cats and non-clumping litter and nobody has ever said it smelled bad...and we have friends who'd let us know if it did!:lol::lol:

If you didn't see my cat, you wouldn't know I had one. I change her litter twice a week so there's never an odor (outside of the actual box). Also, my cat has never had ####### on her paws...not like some dogs I know who come in from outside with shet on their fur, tail and feet. Not to mention the fact that most of the dogs I know who have their "accidents" on the carpet. I'd rather empty a litter box than scrub shet and piss off my carpet.

I'm not a dog person, can you tell? :D

I have five cats and use a crystal based litter (in 2 litter boxes). I scoop daily and change the whole thing every few days. No smell at all. In fact, I'm really sensitive with kitty smells so I'd be the first to say something if they did pong. But they don't and they're a pleasure to be around. :luv:

Wow, twice a week? We only change once a week  but we scoop every day and we put baking soda in the litter every other day. We have one cat who pees on the floor sometimes, but she's old and sick. :(

I don't like the scoop litter, I use regular Tidy Cat so that's why I change it twice a week. Although, sometimes I forget and it's done once a week. I also use a covered litter box so that helps minimize odors as well.

We just use non-clumping clay litter. We've tried other brands before; there's this posh crystal stuff that's supposed to absorb odors really well but they refuse to use it. They won't use the recycled paper litter either. Luckily for us their favorite brand is the 90p bargain bag at Sainsbury's! Our box is covered too; it really does help with odors.

I guess you're not a cat person. :)

It all really depends on how well you take care of your cat and/or dog and your home. We had company over once and they were very surprised to find out we had a cat because they never even saw/smelled any evidence of her existence until she decided to come out of her hiding place and check out the "intruders".

We have two cats and two litter boxes which are changed weekly. We've never had a problem with the smell and I've never seen poop on the kitty paws. We also have a dog, but since he doesn't have testicles anymore then he can't lick them. And he hasn't had an accident once in the house since he was potty-trained. Anyway, two cats and one dog and our house smells just fine.

But I feel bad for the poor cats living in that house. If the guy wants to live with poop, why doesn't he just save his own and spare the poor kitties?
