Maybe they only send these letters out when the embassy has slots?

My status says " Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery." They are sending it from Mumbai to Surat. Anybody from India knows how long it takes them to deliver the passport?

Congratulations dear. Very happy for you :)

congratulations!

Your CC letter has nothing to do with when the embassies have interview slots available.. Some people have to wait 1-3 months to get their interview date after receiving their CC letter.

Many people on here have confirmed that the CC letter comes in 1 week after their status changed to "At NVC".

Hello everyone an congratulations to you all along the process thus far!

I am from the Electronic Processing CEAC forum, which is a slightly different process, and only a few of us, however still the same questions as most of you! I have a few questions that I hope a few of you in here can help me answer, as I have just received our interview date AUGUST 14!

Some Questions:

1) If we are scheduled for an interview Monday morning, should we fly into Montreal a week earlier for time for medical/days it takes to receive medical before the weekend? (Not sure if they operate on the weekend)

2) If approved, ;) , Embassy takes passport..... So how does a Canadian fly back-and-forth without the passport? I was uncertain if Canadians can fly WITHIN Canada without passport? Someone who has experienced this please let me know.

Thank you all! And best of luck!

Yes that is acceptable. The AOS has to be wet signed but you can send a copy unless you were specifically asked to bring an original.

I am not sure if this is helpful, but when we scheduled the medical they had only 2 slots available and only one that worked for us. That was over a month before our interview! I am not saying this is the case in Montreal but I would jump on the medial asap.

Regarding the medical, contact them and ask them if possible to do your medical appointment day before your interview (Friday in your case), meanwhile, ask them to send over a list of the required vaccinations.  In France, this is what they often do. So we got the list of vaccinations, took it to our general dr, took a blood test, got the blood results, asking our general dr to provide the missing vaccines. Then will bring the updated vaccines medical records to the medical. Where they'll do another blood test to verify that all vaccines are up to date. :)

Urgently, advise you to schedule your Medical to make sure they have an opening for you.  :)

This I imagine you can find doing a google search. But normally if flying within your own country, you don't need a passport, just some form of picture ID such as a Driver's license.

@PP_2016 congrats!! I cants believe they actually asked about the pamphlet. Brings to mind mandatory training at work lol.

Guess I'll have to make sure my husband reads through it hahaa any idea if it was specific to the embassy or if there's a chance it could come up in any interview?
