I didn't check my case status right away, so I'm not sure exactly when it changed... But I did file my packet May 15, and checked USCIS around June 27/28 (when I posted this) to find that I was "ready for interview" :) Could have changed much sooner, I just didn't know. Eitherway, as I've learned thus far, it kinda doesn't matter when it changes to "ready for interview" cause it's now been 3 months since I checked and 4 months since I filed my packet and still no update!!! :(

Hi! Just curious, did your wife also file for EAD/AP? And if she did, has she received either of those cards yet?

During the K1 Visa process for Canada, once our status showed as "Ready" - we were able to schedule my fiance's interview without having the actual hard-copy paperwork instructions on scheduling her K1 Visa interview.  We had her interview scheduled, yet, received the hard-copy instructions in the mail 2 weeks later - and we had no issues.

Can scheduling the interview also be done during the AOS process without the actual hard-copy paperwork instructions in the mail if your status shows "Ready"?  Or, is one only able to schedule an interview with the hard-copy paperwork?

Yes we did file for the EAD/AP combo card but haven't received those yet. Still doing the waiting game.

In the US no. If you came on a K1 then more than likely it'll change to card has been mailed. But if you have an interview it'll tell you it has been scheduled. Or immigration processing times are a joke and are not enforced.

You don't schedule the interview yourself for AOS, USCIS is the one who decides when you will be interviewed. At least that's how I understand it. Also, not everyone is required to undergo the interview, so you might not even have one. Again, it all depends on what USCIS tells you to do. So really, it's just all waiting for word from USCIS from here on out! Nothing we can do :(

Yeah, haven't received either of the cards either. So frustrating. I've been wanting to work for months now, to help my husband out with bills! I can't even drive since I don't have a driver's license, which I can only get once I get an EAD... it really sucksssss

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hello! I am awaiting for the interview date too. May I know when you actually received a

letter in the mail stating your interview date after the status in the uscis site says that your case is ready for interview? Also, did you already have  your interview? Please let me know. Appreciate your response.

My EAD/AP card combo was approved September 19 and I received it in the mail on September 25. You can check my Timeline (below the Philippine flag on my info column to the left of this post). No interview yet! Hopefully they just waive it, as they do for most...

I didn't receive any mail stating that,  I just checked the USCIS website for updates: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do Also, an interview is not always necessary. It can be waived, even if your case status states "ready to schedule an interview". :)

Thanks for your response. Did you do AOS based on K-1?

When did you file your AOS?
