Hey guys, I need some advice.

I received my letter of transfer to the US embassy in the U.K. On the 11th May. I still have not heard from the US embassy to state it has arrived. I have been checking on the tracker and still states it is "in transit". I have heard from a few people who have received their package already and they got the letter of transfer way after mine. I have also emailed the embassy and have waited for a reply for over a week but no reply back!

Im going to call the Embassy tomorrow morning sharp! But what is the reason for this?! Should I be worried? Please help!

Just carry on with the instructions found here https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

You don't have to have that letter if you have something to show the medical people that has your new  LND case number on it. They want proof of your case number.

There's no way to talk to the Immigrant Visa Unit in London. The contact form is the best way.

Yeah, I sent a contact form a week ago but no reply back, I called this morning and they lady was not much help. Just stated I couldn't talk to no one about my case but I most wait and I will be updated online. also mentioned it depends on the workload. My partner called the NVC who were more helpful and stated our case has been sent but also said to ring the embassy. It's literally a circle. All I can do is wait!

Thank you you for your help.

If you get somebody on the phone, it is probably the NONimmigrant Visa Unit and they don't really know what goes on in the Immigrant Visa Unit. Often they tell people off the wall info.

Also be sure anything you check or submit online is through "Immigrant" even though a K1 is actually a nonimmigrant visa. For a K1 in London, always choose the Immigrant portal. On the contact form, if you say inquire about my status, those get pushed to the back burner I think.  If you tick the reason --Immigrant Visa information not covered on your website, it may get faster attention.

In your original post you said

"I received my letter of transfer to the US embassy in the UK on the 11th May" Did you mean a letter from the NVC saying your case left NVC on 11 May? If it was just your approval from USCIS, then you have to allow time to get to NVC, stay there a bit, then get to London.

That is probably right, they don't want onto be checking everybody's status so just ignore you. If I don't hear by the 8 weeks then I will try contacting and stating what you have said. Maybe that can push it forward.

The letter was from the NVC stating it was transferring our petition to London. The date on the letter was 11th May which we received on 17th May. I can believe it would have been sitting at the NVC for a while before being sent. my fiancé called them Monday and they confirmed it has left the NVC but we don't know how long ago that was. I guess I just wait until it hit 8 weeks. I'm currently on 6 weeks so let's see.

This exact same thing happened to us, except our letter was may 10. I contacted nvc after seeing people after us get their interviews here. Nvc said they would find out what happened as it is too long. I suggest contacting nvc immigrant line

We called the NVC and they told us it was sent from them on the 10th May and I should call the Embassy. However, the embassy are not giving me any information at all! Did you manage to get any information when you asked? What was the delay?

Thank you for replying at least I know I'm not the only one this has happened today!

Yea when we saw your message, we felt the same way. We have also seen someone else with our exact same situation from the exact same day. When i called the nvc i got a very helpful person, maybe ask to speak to a supervisor at this point, as they are looking into whats gone wrong.  We also used this link:

Hopefully we can all get some resolution from this. Ill follow your case and hopefully good news arrives soon

Really? That's so strange. Ive just completed it and sent that now! Also my fiancé is calling them tonight to speak to a supervisor. Any information we get I will let you know. It really is annoying and I hope we can figure this out together and just get on with the process!

We contacted the NVC, they said it is possible our case is stuck in a box in customs still and we should wait a week and call back if we don't hear anything and they will 'figure' it out. I'm going to try calling the embassy again and explain the situation and just see if I can get ANYTHING from them. This is so crazy and I'm so mad that this is happening!

Wow! Yea this is seriously crazy. There are people who received their notification from nvc after we did who have already finished their interview and are together. Which is incredibly frustrating. I truly hope we can get this situation resolved soon for everyone having to deal with this

Yeah it is crazy, I expected to be doing my medical and interview by end of July! We are having a tradition ceremony in the UK in August and I planned to have it all complete by then so we could plan for final arrangements to move by September. But this is looking like it's not going to happen. We seriously can't do anything until it has hit 8 weeks which is frustrating! Let's hope we can hear something within 9 days. I'll keep you updated on anything I hear from the embassy.

Yea we had same expectations for time frame being mid to late summer for our interview. Will definitely update here if we have any changes to our situation. The good news is all the stats im seeing show the embassy is scheduling interviews quite quickly recently, so hopefully that continues

I rang the embassy yesterday and spoke to a guy. I explained the situation which again he stated it's a lengthy process and I must be patient. He also said that we will be updated on each stage and to keep checking online. I asked if I could talk to someone else and he said unfortunately I couldn't and that I just need to wait.

Any luck with you?
