OK. She's out of town on a work trip (for which we had had to change the outgoing flight because of the scheduled interview... aargh...) but I'll ask her if she wants to try this on Monday. Thanks for the suggestion!

Best of luck!!!

I know you have already applied as I have seen your entry in the November 2017 Filers thread, however, I'm going to write this anyway, hoping it's going to help whoever needs to file next.

The 5 document limit can be circumvented by simply uploading the 5 documents, and then scrolling back up and clicking once again on "evidence". It'll reset the limit and make you upload other documents as needed. I uploaded plenty of documents doing just that, all in one session, and didn't end up with any duplicates whatsoever.

I must admit, the process is weird, but once one understands that can be done, it doesn't create any issues.

Hope this helps!

Is it actually fine to regroup all the evidences in one single pdf or we're supposed to submit separately?

For ease of reading on the IO's part who is adjudicating your case and taking into account your submitted evidence, it's probably better to upload them into separate PDFs.

Easier for them to find what they are looking for when confirming information rather than scrolling through one huge file, I would think.

Also by uploading evidence separately, it's easier for you to keep track of what you've submitted and what you haven't, as you go along in your application.

I didn't file online but I got a noti in the mail. USCIS got me an ELIS account. I signed up, got an alert & can view docs online. Does it mean I'm automatically converted to online filling? My receipt number starts with IOE btw.

I have no idea on that one. If you're able to view PDFs online then maybe. Are you actually able to see your application with the "view case snapshot" link? I've never heard of that happening for paper filers before!

Yes. I can see statatus and other stuff online but I filed through paper. I got a notice from USCIS with an ELIS account code. They created it for me. Here is the preview.

Hey all,

So I just checked out online account after having done biometrics and it says we can expect 12 months (November 2018!!) before they schedule the interview. Based on many of your signatures, it seems like you were done much faster than this! Is this just what they say for everyone and in a couple months we'll get an interview date potentially, or will it really be likely 12 months before we hear anything else?

Thanks!

Joining the party too, I submitted my application yesterday! My field office is San Francisco.

I'm stil a little bit confused between ELIS and EGOV.

ELIS: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/
EGOV: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

and there's also: https://my.uscis.gov/ (which seems the same as myaccount.uscis.dhs)

What is the ground of truth?

I understand they ask EGOV only for people who had an EGOV account from previous immigration procedure.

Thanks
