Hey everyone. For the Biographic Information Form (G-325A)

  • I understand I have to fill one out for myself. Also, my husband needs one as well? Does he have to fill this out himself and sign it? We are currently in different countries

ALSO

  • At the bottom of the form it says "this form is submitted in connection with an application for:

Do I need to select Naturalization AND Status as Permanent Resident?

I am going to submit my paperwork for the CR-1 Visa. I am thinking maybe I just need to choose Naturalization and not the other one.

Can someone please help?

If you're filing for the cr1, it means you're using the i130 and the new form doesn't require a g325a anymore but just the i130 and the i130a

You should be using the most up to date forms and those can be found at uscis.gov

and for your own benefit, you should be reading the instructions for every single form you're filling.  In the i130 form instructions, it's clearly noted the need of a i130a and no mention of g325a. Also, it's all over vj, a quick search or reading on the newest threads would've answered that.

Please note that this is not a scold or a reprimand, it's just REALLY important to be informed and on top of your immigration matters and something I strongly believe everyone should do when taking this step towards immigrating

best of luck

Thank you for your feedback. I was going off the guides section on here. I will pay better attention to the USCIS website instead. Thank you.

Also, I DID read the I-130 form while filling it out and I didn't see the I-130a form mentioned anywhere.

It's cause vj is not up to date, the changes were recent. But you can definitely do a search around and read threads about the new forms and threads where people share their cover letters, those will help a lot as well

good luck!

I am currently doing a CR-1 and hired RapidVisa with premium service they provided and filled up all my forms and I did ask them if G325A forms was needed and they said no that even the I-130 forms was updated and that's why it ask biographical info on the I-130 for the petitioner and the I-130A has to be filled out and sign by Beneficiary.
