Annotated Visa

Hello,

 

My Fiance received his passport back with an approved visa. However, there is an annotation with a name and address of someone. It is not my name/address (the petitioner) and there is no other writing other than that name and address.

 

What does the annotation mean? I mean the visa is approved and he has his passport so his entry shouldn't be a problem right? We have already set out wedding date for next month.

A private US address?  Never heard of that.  I'd contact the embassy and ask.

yes it was a private us address, its not an embassy, i looked it up and its actually a small apartment complex. And to think that after getting the visa there would be no problems. we have set the wedding date and booked tickets, he has a valid US visa, i cant believe the embassy could make such a big mistake though, after all those months of waiting, who knows how much longer we have to wait to get the problem corrected.

 

We already contacted the embassy, just waiting on their reply, if they ask us to mail the passport then who knows how long it will take them to send it back to us.
