I've been doing some reading and it seems Service Centers only do initial reviews on I-485 applications then they are forwared to the local office, which in my case is Houston, TX where there is a backlog.

Your NOA1 says where your case is been processed 😉

This is part of the e-mail that they sent me when they accepted my case...

"Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number..."

NBC = National Benefits Center

Peace!!!

What is the difference of the case being handled at the NBC? I just checked mine and that's where it is

As far as I remember, your case is "ready to be squeduled to an interview" right? If your case is ready for an interview and is not transferred to the local office, you might get an interview waiver 😉 My case is also been processed at NBC and I understand that this is just a initial processing to make sure that you have all the documents necessary to make your case valid and then it's transferred to the local office where someone is going to be designated to analyze everything before your interview.

Peace!

Update on my timeline.

I received a Notice to Applicant dated 06/21/17 in relation to not submitting a completed and signed I-693.

Is this a RFE or just a plain & simple Notice?  I'm not quite sure.

I received the same Notice to applicant today.

We know that USCIS is very consistent, with the backlog that's is going on now a waiver could be faster 😉

Good luck girl!!!

Hi, guys.

I've got my RFE letter. The letter says I-864 form has a mistake: there is a missing name on Page 3. We've fixed that, but the question is: do we need to resend all package including supporting evidence (taxes, W-2, et cetera) or maybe just I-864 form alone would be enough? The problem is that if I need to send all supporting documents again the earliest I can get them is in 2 weeks.

Just received my RFIE as well and it is very similar to yours. I forgot to list my husband's name as the sponsor on page 3. They have requested to send income tax returns and all supporting tax documents (we sent them already)

Secondly, it states to provide the signed form from the joint sponsor (with supporting documents), however, my husband's income is sufficient enough and we do not need a joint sponsor. I can only assume that they are under the assumption that we are using a joint sponsor for some odd reason. I will have to clarify in a letter.

Thirdly, they have requested for applicant's foreign birth certificate issued by the appropriate civil authority (we submitted this already, not sure why they want it again)

No biometrics for me as of yet. Still waiting...
