Hi!

I'm adjusting from a K1 visa. I filed the application at the end of January. Since then I've had my fingerprints done and received my EAD card. However when i go online to check the green card process it says finger print fee received February 6th. Its May now, is this typical of the AOS. Has anyone been in the same situation and if you were how were you able to get updates. How long did you typically have to wait for the green card after getting the EAD card.

Thanks

Yes this is typical.  The fingerprint fee case status is usually for the I-485.  Your EAD (I-765) should have a separate receipt to check status for.

In my November 2016 AOS filers thread it has been taking up to 180 days to receive EAD.  Some of those VJ Members that filed in November are just now receiving EAD cards. So you are lucky!.   If you have not received an interview appointment letter, it means your case is still at NBC.  That can take awhile.

You may have a bit of a wait.

In the meantime, you can update your profile "Filed For"   to Adjustment of Status.  It still shows K1

Perfectly normal. You may be scheduled for an interview soon, it may take a year, or your GC may be approved without interview. Until one of those things happen (or you get an RFE), the status will remain the same.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.
