Can the skin tb test be done before the medical exam and the results brought in?  Alternatively, can you have the results read at another clinic?  Do you have to make 2 appointments at the medical examination office - 1 for the tb innoculation and the second for the reading?

Is the tb test required for all non-immigrants K-1, K-2?

Because if everything has to be done at the medical examination clinic, then the interview cannot be done before 2 days after the innoculation.  Is this right?

I do not know if you can do the exam early so the results are ready for the interview.

Maybe call one of the clinics the embassy uses for the medical exams and talk to them and ask if you can do the TB test early.

But the test is not required for everyone.

The only "result" you can bring in and it will be taken into account is your vaccination record. That's it. On the basis of the record form DS-3025 will be issued. No record - no DS-3025.

As for the skin TB test - NO, they DO NOT care about any results, made outside the IOM Migration Unit. If during medical exam tb is questioned, they will require additional tests and only tests, done  in the IOM Migration Unit will be trusted.

P.S.I wouldn't recommend to schedule an interview  until the medical results are picked up and you know everything is fine.

Good luck with your immigration journey!!! :)

Thanks.  We scheduled the interview after we will get the TB results.

We were glad that my then fiancée scheduled her interview 3 weeks after her medical exam.  Because of the findings on her chest X-ray, she was instructed to return the following week for 3 consecutive days of sputum tests (Cleared on day 3).  This was a bit of a hardship since she lived in Kharkov and had to return to Kiev for the additional testing.  Moral of the story: give yourself a window of time between the medical exam and the interview.
