Congrats girl. Finally you reached the finished line and all DONE:wub:    That's so awesome!  Im still here waiting. Been over 3 months now being IN LINE and hoping and praying that my journey will end before February 2018.  I already bought a ticket going home Feb for my mom's 82nd bday.  Its her desire wish for me to celebrate with her on that special day.

Everyday Im waiting patiently but sometimes as the time runs so fast im getting frustrated and stressed maybe because I have a trip coming and Im not done with this journey.

Thank you so much for deciding to stick around with us. That's so sweet of you. <3

I'm sure it will!  Hang in there!  February will be here in no time and that sounds like a wonderful visit you're going to have! How did the Bahamas hold up with all the hurricanes recently?  Is everyone back home okay?

Dear All - Completed the naturalization process yesterday. It was a brief session for about an hour or so - about 79 people naturalized yesterday in Detroit. There was another session later in the day with a similar number of naturalizations. Best wishes for a smooth and expedited process completion to all those who are in line with the process..

Any May Filers in the San Jose, CA field office?  I got the letter in the mail  yesterday for an interview which is Oct. 23, 2017.for my N 400 application.  The field office websites are never updated nor does the USCIS case status.  I filed my application on May 5, 2017 sent it through UPS, was approved on May 25, had my biometrics on June 12.   June 20 I was in line for an interview.   Oct. 23, 2017 will be my interview.  I have been checking the documents to bring along with me.   Since I have an agreement with IRS because of back taxes  I will have to bring it.  I have been reviewing the Civics questions and getting all my documents ready ahead of time.   Can someone give me an advice as to what questions are being asked during the interview?  How long will it take?

They'll review all of the YES/NO questions in your application.

They may ask questions about the status of your taxes and want to see the documents you're bringing from the IRS.

They'll review some of the other questions in the application, such as are you a member of any groups or associations.

They'll ask why you want to become a citizen!

Try not to overthink or worry. :)

Hi everyone!

I had my interview today at Jacksonville center, FL. It was scheduled for 12pm but I reached there early. They didn't check me in till 11:45pm and asked me to wait. I got checked in around 11:55pm and was called by the officer within minutes. The officer first took me to the room and asked me to raise my right hand and repeat after her that whatever I will say is true. Then she went over lot of questions YES/NO format mostly from the application. Whether I have been arrested, committed any crime, arms training, if I m still married, do we have any kids, who is my employer etc.

She then moved to civics questions. I got confused at one and she repeated the question and I corrected my answer. She counted 6/7 correct and she moved on to have me read out loud a sentence and then write a sentence. She did not check any of my documents and said that I have been approved. Offered me Oath ceremony in 2 days but unfortunately I am traveling so I opted to go to the next and she said may take a month or two. :(

The silliest thing - I was just nervous I guess and she asked me my DOB and after answering all other questions right, I gave my own DOB wrong!

Overall a nice experience. Took hardly 10 mins. I was done by 12:15pm!

Good luck everyone. Its almost the end!!
