Why was it denied/revoked before? Reasons for that mean everything.

03-19-2021: Officially an American Citizen 🇺🇸 Entire journey from initial K-1 Visa filing to Naturalization took 5 years, 8 days.

I got my student visa revoked before,and then i applied for again and got denied!i was as ESL student in States for almost 2 years and went back to my country for a vacation,and i was going back to US realized that they revoked my visa before,which i didnt know!but i had initially my visa for 5 years and applied again and got denied due to act 214!now my fiance and i filed for K1 (i met my fiance when i was a student in US)

What grounds was it revoked? Were you enrolled full-time and attending school?

The 214 rule is that they thought you were trying to immigrate. You wanted to study English for over 2 years? That is already rare.

 

I doubt it will affect your K-1. Others can provide their advice, but being denied doesn't affect your K-1 and K-1 is an immigrant visa.

A K-1 is handled by the Immigrant Visa Unit, so if the revocation + denial was only for being unable to prove sufficient ties to return home, then it shouldn't be an issue for a K-1 visa. If it was for something else (i.e. unauthorized work) , then it could potentially impact the K-1 visa application.

 

Have you applied for any other visas besides a student visa?
