Hi SusieQQQ,

I completed the DS260 recently and i am not sure what the next steps will be. I am part of the lottery for 2018 and checked the visa bulletin but says May and June 2017 and my region is CURRENT. When can i expect an email from KCC to see whether i have an interview? Thank you

That visa bulletin is for 2017 winners .. you are a 2018 winner .. you just have to wait until october when they start posting 2018 visa bulletin

Thank you. So nothing will happen now - when they post the bulletin in October, how soon afterwards should i expect to get an interview?

DV2018 only starts in October. The current listings in the visa bulletin are for DV2017. You'll get notification around 6-8 weeks before interview so the earliest any DV2018 applicant will hear from them is around mid August. Depending on case number could be as late as July 2018.

Thanks a lot SusieQQQ!! One more clarification please; if the bulletin says Current, it means regardless of your case number there is probably enough visas for that region and you will be scheduled soon.

hello everyone!

I have the same proble with "does not matching number"

I have some concern to miss the zero. you sure will not gona have any problems with my interview changing the case number at the end?

What's the difference between 000012, 00012 and 12, in a numeric sense?

no, your case number remains unique. The zeroes are there presumably for some system requirement that all CNs are the same length, but just like in normal math a zero in front of a number doesn't change it.

Iask about case number for visa bulletin.

For June, immigrant numbers Egypt 26,250

For July, immigrant numbers Egypt 28,290

For August, immigrant numbers Egypt 30,600

this mean every month about 2500 and number for September not cross 33,000 and all numbers after 33,000 delete and immigrant numbers 38,000 not get interview .

need answer if you please

Thanks to all

It doesn't always work exactly like that. The changes can be dramatically different especially at the beginning and end of the fiscal year. I have to be honest that right now it doesn't look very hopeful but there may yet be a good surprise in the last month for you. In 2015 for example the Egypt numbers were creeping slowly per month in the same kind of period you are talking about and then for September jumped to 50000 (from 28700 in August, 27100 in July and 24675 in June). You'll just have to wait and see. Good luck.
