If you have one, you should receive the checklist within a few days. It will let you know if you need to send the correct version to the NVC or bring it to the interview.. Keep checking your online status.. Sometimes the NVC customer service reps can be misleading..

Got the email from NVC ..

The instructions will ask you to either:

 Send the missing or corrected items to the applicant so he or she can take them to the visa interview;

or

 Send the missing or corrected items to the National Visa Center (NVC) and include a copy of the

code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the

address provided.

We cannot accept the marriage certificate document you sent. You must send us the correct document

Yes unfortunately.. So sorry.. But my advice, send in the correct version ASAP.. Then call to verify if arrived.. Then after about 4 weeks, call again to ask to speak to a supervisor.. to see if they can get you a CC..

Please update your questionnaire with this info... This way hopefully your unfortunate situation will help others from your country who are or will be preparing their package for the NVC..

Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire

Meanwhile, I found the following forum which could be useful for you..

Thanks for your reply. Ok i will update. One more thing.. For mother application she doesn't need Marriage certificate. i don't know why they asked for this. Because as a son, when i applied for my mom, birth certificate was required. Not Marriage certificate. but For my dad, marriage certificate was required. what you think, if i talk to a supervisor, could they help me about my mom's case now?

I'm so sorry YuMa.. Can you update your questionnaire with this info.. Hopefully your misfortunate will help others from DR..  Really really bothers me that so many of you have received a Check List.. Hopefully we can change that for future NVC filers.

Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire

=====

Spreadsheet Stats:

Checklist which required a 2nd scan date : 49

Checklist which could bring to interview: 20

Total: 69

Cases that didn't receive a checklist to date: 72

So basically HALF of our cases have received a checklist.. NVC has to find a way to improve their communications..

Doesn't make sense how half of our cases have received a checklist...

which birth certificate did you send? we sent acta inextensa. It is the long version. When we called they said we did not send the correct version (not true), then said they did not find it. So we just made a copy and sent it again. New Scan Date is 06/07. Do not forget to write your case number on top of your document. I think that is the reason we are all getting checklists.

HI Clary, can you update your checklist note on the spreadsheet to reflect this information? Because now it just says "missing birth certificate". Hopefully between you and @YuMa, no future DR NVC filers will get the same checklist..

Here are the instructions on how to edit your questionnaires with your updates.. Please follow them closely so that you don't have to redo them.  ;)
