@aseela they cashed your check pretty quick, which location did you file CSC or VSC?

CSC. I don't know if it's because our package was pretty slim 😞 but im hoping thats a good sign

@aseela CSC location is much more faster in processing the I-751, VSC is slower and sad to say I'm a VSC filer, I'm hoping I will get NOA next week or end of this month. Crossing fingers.

Should we also include two passport-style photos for petitioner and dependent in the package?

I don't think we do, even though i included. Better safe than sorry. It's just 5 bucks with COSTCO and you get it in a few minutes, so i thought i might as well. They won't get to ding me for that i guess.

@Jilliane I believe you dont need to include passport size pictures since they will capture picture during your biometric schedule. Passport pictures is only required on your AOS.

So in your package you did not include any passport size pictures, right? In sample cover letters I didn't see anything where they include a passport picture on it but on initial evidence (page 5) in the Instructions for Petition to Remove Conditions it's stating there for antwo passport-style photos for petitioner and dependent. Or is this only for those on Military Orders that resides overseas?

@Jilliane Correct, I did not include any passport size pictures. This what the instructions said. passport size is only required if you reside overseas due to military or government orders.

Exception

Those who reside overseas pursuant to military or government orders, including conditional resident dependents residing overseas and listed under Part 5. Information About Your Children of the petition, must submit the following items with Form I-751: 1. Two passport-style photos for each petitioner and dependent, regardless of age. The passport photos must be color photographs. The photos must have a white to off-white background, be printed on thin paper with a glossy finish, and be unmounted and unretouched. Passport-style photos must be 2” x 2”. The photos must be in color with full face, frontal view on a white to offwhite background. Your head must be bare unless you are wearing headwear as required by a religious denomination of which you are a member. Using a pencil or felt pen, lightly print your name and Alien Registration Number (A-Number) (if any) on the back of the photo; AND 2. Two completed fingerprint cards (Form FD-258) for each petitioner and dependent 14 to 79 years of age. You must write your A-Number on the fingerprint card and ensure that the completed cards are not bent, folded, or creased. The fingerprint cards must be prepared by a U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate, USCIS Office, or U.S. military installation. In order for USCIS to identify filings based on military or government orders, petitioners are required to indicate on top of Form I-751, “ACTIVE MILITARY” or “GOVERNMENT ORDERS” and submit a copy of their current military or government orders.

OK. This is really interesting,

Mine did auto-populate when i filled it out. So it had all that info.

Now i am starting to get a little concerned.

Guys in the house, what were your experiences filling out the form with this auto-populate thing please?

The only one that Auto Populate when I filled out mine are Part 7 page 6 the "Acknowledgement of Appointment at USCIS Application Support Center" and Part 8 page 8 "Acknowledgement of Appointment at USCIS Apple Support Center" so I didnt change anything on the one that auto populated, I leave it as it is.

But not Part 11, page 11 it's just blank unless you filled it up.

USCIS probably edited the form and put it back out there. Mine did auto populate. I literally just tried it again a few seconds back.

I believe that VSC is a bit slower than CSC. It took 9 days for them to cash my check. I have noticed it takes around a couple of weeks to cash the check for some. I wouldn't worry yet if I were you.

Thank you. I see a pending transaction for $680 from VSC field office, 9 days from the date they received the petition.

Great, thanks. Hopefully I will get it soon too.

This process creates a lot of unnecessary anxiety because the tracking is not very end-user friendly.

If only the application itself has a tracking number, then its easy to track end to end. As the USCIS receives it, that tracking number would come to life and until USCIS receives it the user has the USPS tracking.

I guess USCIS wouldn't implement better tracking because why fix it if its not broken. I can see from their perspective, but this sure creates unnecessary anxiety.
