Hi everyone! This is my first time posting in this forum. :jest:

I am just wondering if anyone of you knows any reliable shipping partner for Balikbayan Box delivery near Fayetteville, NC? I am planning to start saving up goodies for Christmas and eventually send it to the Philippines once I got it all set up🎄

Thank you in advance! 😉

Sincerely,

Check Filipino stores close to you. They may do the shipping and act as a agents.

i have tried (I am in the Philippines) filoutlet.com, POBox.com and shippingcart.com. ALL were very expensive aside from the headache, 'losing' merchandise, etc.

Shipping alone takes 60 days so, check expiration dates ...

Thank you TBoneTX ! 😁

Thank you for giving me head's up Meerak! I am sorry to hear of your unfortunate incidents with those three shipping providers 😔 We all do not want our hard earned money in buying those merchandise  go to nothing.

And yeah, i guess ill just go inquire to one of our local Filipino store nearby.

Thanks alot!

I have always used LBC. I have sent about 15 boxes to over the years, after 10 they ship 1 free. You might want to check with them about an agent close to you that does pickup as the 2 closest office to you are still a bit out of the way. They have tracking online (not as good as FedEx or UPS) and I have never had any items lost.

My husband sent a huge box for only $70 through Global Cargo Movers. Check out the branch they have in NC and ask if they can pick it up at your location. It took 2 months to get here but the box was untouched.

Again, it was a huuugggeee box!

Hope this helps!

That's the average cost ($70) of a large box to ship to the Philippines but when those online sites start charging 130+ for it and tell you how smooth everything will be, I bail out :)

The best is if you find one that does it close to you then check the sea shipper they use. Some of those shippers are fly by night. They could care less!

Check Filipino stores in your area as most will ship to the PI. We live in Raleigh and there is a store on capital blvd. who ships for $100. Box is $5. It takes 2 months to arrive but does so without hassles. PM me if you want the location name and phone number. Great ppl to work with. It might be worth the drive they have a little restaurant inside with get authentic Filipino food. Yum!!

I just inquired to a nearby Filipino Store here in Fayetteville. She (owner)  said it would cost me  $110 for shipment of the Jumbo Balikabayan Box since It would  be shipped in Batangas area. Then $10 for the box. I think it is already reasonable, plus the location is approximately 5 mins away from home 😁 She's not an agent from LBC. She said they are shipping through Manila Forwarders. Has anyone of you tried shipping under Manila Forwarders?

P. S. Thank you for all the suggestions.

I think you should grab the opportunity to use your local store. Those are reasonable costs. Manila Forwarders is a good company.  She can give you more details on her experience with them. I am sure if they were not good she wouldn't be selling their services. Come back after you have shipped and they have received the BB and tell us about your experience.  That would help other that come behind you asking the same information you are doing now.

Do you know if  the filipino store in Capital Blvd. will pick up balikbayan boxes from our house if we live in Raleigh? Please let us know.  I am interested to send balikbayan boxes with them if so.

You know there is a Big Filipino store in Angier right? You can try to call them to ask if they do that as well.
