I just called NVC and asked if my file was sent to review department. The representative said "it's not reviewed yet but it's in the line to be reviewed. I saw we receive your supporting documents on March 20. Give us some time." Is my file on review department? What is she referring to when she said "in line?" Does that mean my file is just relaxing and maybe watching horror movie in mail room haha?

Maybe it's just a nice way to say that It's just hanging out in the mail receiving room..  I'm sure if you call again, someone else would be more clear. They open in an hour.

Sure thing. here is my timeline. If I remember correctly I could fill out the ds-261 but I couldn't access the area to pay the AOS fees.. (that's what took a few days).

3/29/2017 i130 approved
4/5/2017 USCIS mailed to NVC

4/11/2017 NVC assigned case number
4/12/2017 Filled out the ds-261
4/14/2017 PAID AOS fee
4/18/2017 - Received Welcome Letter (via email)
- Called NVC to approve DS261
- Paid IV fee
4/19/2017 Mailed out Supporting documents
4/24/2017 USPS Tracking confirmed that NVC received documents
4/25/2017 NVC confirmed receipt, scan date
4/26/2017 submitted the 260 - 11 weeks starts today
Should have a CC by Wednesday, 12 July 2017

Meanwhile, My suggestion is to start gathering copies of supporting docs. I found this on your embassy's website. You may need more (which will be listed on your welcome letter but at least this is a good start.)

Thank you!! I have everything ready to go. My husband is out getting police clearance now. I just tried again and it says "Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error." So maybe its just updating.

hmm..  When I called, the case number had been assigned the night before.. I was able to complete the ds-261 the day after I called..  Which shocked customer service, they couldn't believe that I was able to complete it before receiving the welcome letter..  Maybe it was a glitch in the system at the time..  So maybe you need a full 24 hours....

To confirm, you get that message when you click on the following link. I too got that message.. but I kept on trying until it allowed me to complete the DS-261.  You could always call to confirm that you have the right case and invoice number.

Thanks..

I'll do just that.

One more question.

Could it mean cos I had a checklist about my AOS in February and was asked to bring the corrected one to the interview the reason why the AOS column didn't disappear?

Hi Ayo,

Were you able to confirm your CC?

Thanks,

Michael

Hey guys..

I'm sorry I'm getting back this time, been busy.

Just called NVC and a rep said my case has been completed since the 4th of may, and I got a notification on the 11th of may.

But he said I don't have an interview date yet.

Kindly add a column for priority date cos your priority date determines how quick you get an interview date.

First scan date -  November 30th 2016

Checklist - February 23rd for missing death certificate

2nd scan date - March 8

Case complete - May 4th

Waiting for an interview date to be scheduled.......

Yes..I have just now .

And my AOS line didn't disappear.

And my case still say 'AT NVC'

It's been like that ever since.

So I think the best way to confirm CC after 9 weeks is to call NVC and not to wait for anything to disappear.

Congrats!!! Thank you, I'll update my "how to confirm if you have a  CC" with your discovery. "this does not apply if this is your second scan date/already received a check list"

Thank you Ayo for this great feedback!! Very happy that you finally got your CC.

Can you please update your questionnaire with this info?

Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire

If by chance you have lost your questionnaire, you can redo it, I'll delete the duplication.

Thank you, JBMG
