congratulations.. please my case was completed  on the 17th of April and I want to know how long it will take for me to get my interview date and how I will go about my documents  arrangements... thnk you

every country is a little different, when you will get your interview date depends on how busy the embassy is. for every photocopied documents you submitted to nvc, you have to bring the original copies to the interview with you. and for financial documents like proof of asset, you have to bring updated versions. every embassy requests different things, i would suggest you to check the website of the US embassy in your country to make sure you dont miss any documents. call them and ask if you can get your medical examination done now or do you have to wait until you get interview letter email to do so. good luck!

@JBMG, I noticed in the spreadsheet that we are counting "weeks from scan date to cc" from most recent scan date to cc. Should we not count "weeks from scan date to cc" from original scan date and make another column "checklist to cc" from most recent scan date to cc?

It will give more diverse and accurate account of how much delay is caused by check lists. Let me know if this is feasible.

I didn't want to add it because the timing also depends on how quickly the applicant returns the corrected documents..

But on Tuesday, I will add to the questionnaire "When did your interview get scheduled?".

And. A notes area. So that we can write something like. "Called on May 9th, still not in review"

Seems like you might be more active than me.  Do you want to merge in May scan dates with your spreadsheet?  I can add in some formulae to automatically extract the latest scan date from scan dates provided etc.  if you give me access to edit :)

We can figure that out by looking at checklist date and most recent scan date difference. It was just a suggestion anyway.

Adding notes is a good idea. People can write something they did incorrectly there and everyone can see it there, instead of scrolling through profiles and forums.

Hello everyone, quick question, I've got the checklist from NVC but some items seems kind of redundant, like W2S, Tax returns, IRS transcripts, they're all the same information in different format, i have the IRS transcripts for the last 3 years, do i have to send the returns and W2s also? Thanks

Yes, you can send copies of your completed returns or the transcripts. They do not need both..They prefer the full transcripts. And you must send copies of your w2s. If you do not have w2s, you explain why in a letter. Then sign and date it.

I sent my last 3 years Tax transcripts only. I did not include my Tax copy and W2s.

I was single tax filer, no any other joint filer.

So we really need to send out our W2's. worrying now.

Yes, you're required to send those too...But I could be wrong.. I didn't have w2s because I worked outside of the US.  customer service representative said, that's ok but must write, date and sign a letter explaining that.

See following words on this link http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process and look for Step 6 Gather AOS Package

^^You have two choices here of what to send in:

- Tax return transcripts ordered from IRS (preferred by NVC and of most consulates/embassies) RECOMMENDED

OR

- Tax returns (1040), W2s, 1099s, and any other schedules/worksheets (if applicable)

.....I think its not must but its transcript or filed version of tax with W2 and all 1099

Did you include 2016 tax transcript as well?

They might be asking for that if you did not send it. Your timeline doesn't say when you sent in your AOS and IV packages.
