After a 12 week wait from my CC.I just got my interview date today, for mid-july. i was wondering if anyone had been sucessful in resheduling their dates backward, i.e for an earlier interview date. For such person, Insight into how they got this done will be very much appreciated.

You can email them. Cairo is the same, they will not speak to anyone over the phone. If you go to their website you can get their email address, or you can call them and ask for it. Cairo at least gave us an email address over their phone, maybe it will work for you. Good Luck. :)
